[Suggestion] Battle royale/Hunger games/Survival games mod(?)

That will be really cool if there will be a mod like that.

imagine Wildreness mode with many players, that everyone start at the same point in circle surrenderd by chests with equipment, support and weapons. they will need to survive the longest. there is no time for base but they will need to survive by there own and maybe trust other people. but remember there is only one winner.

 

Based on Arma Battle royale mode/Hunger games movie/Minecraft Survival games mode.

please make this, this will be the most played mod ever and will be so fun!

I hate when PvP is talked about. PvP is my bane because fighting in DS is just as simple as holding f and spam clicking. Don't believe me? Try it. It's freaking easy. A survival games is from Minecraft (which is also pointless because Minecraft's combat also consists of spam clicking but at a faster pace).

Guys just because it's not your cup of tea, doesn't mean it's not fun for some other people. 

OP, that sounds like a cool idea! I am a bit out of the loop but I know game modes are programmable now. 
So with what you're suggesting, the chests could be set up ahead of time maybe, i'm not sure how to mod that in. But you can give everyone starting items, I believe.
As for the hunger games part, are you thinking a timer or just a death count? I think it wouldn't be hard for the game to keep track of your first death, and then mark you down as "out". I don't think that'd be hard at all. I'd play a mode like that. 

I, actually, like that idea. I thought about something like this:

 

- [mod] spawn without portal in a random place with randomly rotated map (like in wilderness) with passive ghosts (can't interact and can't be resurrected);

 

- [mod] whisper only;

- [mod] some sort of lobby;

- maximum of random bounty (but excluding traps);

- maximum of all dangers (hounds, tallbirds, killer bees, spiders, frogs, swamp people, tentacles, giants);

- very rare passive resource sources like rabbits, berries, beefalo, grass, twigs and dropped flint (rocks and trees are ok because you need tools for them);

- [mod] winner screen;

- [mod] random big threats that happen near ONE player at once, but happens with a half of players during one day (after one day of a catch up, by turn, not randomly) with a random period (so it can happen at night or almost at the same time with another players), something like queen/bee/hound/swampmen attack. So hard that player have to run away than fight.

 

- stars in early autumn (early summer in current DS);

And all players, that survive a summer (winter in current DS), win...

 

And yeah, try to PvP if you like, haha.

tried PvP on, we agreed not to kill each other (but we all knew we would, we were just coming up with a cunning and spectacular way do do it... not just spamming "attack"...

 

So, in winter, I ask one of my party mates to help me kill some McTusks... While he was agro-ing hounds... I hit him with a fire staff... they all panic, he come after me... i switch to an ice staff... he chats "haha! he's gonna kill me! XD" I take care of the Hunting Party, hit him with the staff again to keep him frozen... place gun powder... dead! XD

 

Well, alright... doesn't sound all that impressive but it was at the moment...
