      UPDATED - Studio Note & Rhymes with Play Streams Temporarily Canceled.   03/06/2020

      UPDATE (3/19/20): Just a quick note regarding the team at Klei Entertainment. As noted previously, everybody at Klei Entertainment is working from home due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many of us have been working especially hard to help maintain operations as we all move out of the office and into our homes and with everything being done online, extra time must be spent in organizing conversations and trying to maintain communication. As some of you may know, we have a very open office and we are almost always in contact with each other as we go about our days. Some of us work across multiple teams and that work has become a bit more challenging for everybody.   That being said, at this time the transition has not caused any major disruption in our operations, but it would be overly optimistic to expect that we won't have any delays at all. We're going to have to be especially mindful about this in the coming weeks and make sure we don't take on too much work so we can keep things running smoothly.  We will let you know as we see how these changes affect our timelines.  Thanks UPDATE (3/10/20):
      The test yesterday went well. We got the whole office (mostly) to work from home without significant issue. As a result, Klei Staff that can work from home have been asked to do so until further notice.  This means that we will have to cancel the Rhymes with Play stream until we are all back in the office. This shouldn't affect anything else at least in the short term, but if things change I will update you all here.  Original Post: Hey everybody,  This Tuesday March 10th, 2020 the entire staff at Klei will be working remotely for 1 day in an effort to prepare the studio to work remotely for a little while if the need arises.  Klei is already set up pretty well to allow for working remotely, however we are going to have a one day "dry run" with the whole studio so that we can identify and avoid any issues or downtime that may arise should choose to implement a work from home policy due to COVID-19 outbreak concerns. Unfortunately this does mean that we will be canceling the “Rhymes with Play” Art stream this coming Tuesday, however unless the situation changes we expect everything at the studio to be back to normal Wednesday and we’ll continue our regular stream schedule Thursday March 12th. If the situation changes at all, we'll let you know. Thanks for your understanding.

  1. I agree on that. Or there should be a popup about new discovered recipe for a certain station when you find a new resource. I also would prefer if "discovering a resource" didn't require digging it up. For critters, both eggs and cubs should be discovered the moment you find one of grown ups.

    I confirm what @Lilalaunekuh said. I get freezes consistently. Seems like in my case it's dupe dependent. One time, when freeze usually happens, I've sent all my dupes to the base, and game didn't freeze. But did again the next cycle. Can't play for now

  7. That kind of traps isn't a challenge for "elites", like at all. There is nothing challenging in not touching any chests when you see them. It's exactly a trap for newbies, and it works perfectly fine.
  8. No, they not. When you have a temperature from illness, in order to protect organs (and brain) from heat damage, you don't need to drink more, you need cold bedclothes and ice (and drugs to help body regulate temperature). With sun is the same. Without special clothes you will pass out BEFORE dehydration (due to inner overheat). You will pass out from dehydration if you already have protective clothes (i.e. how people deal with overheating in desert). Sorry for my slow reaction :]
  9. Erm, what about sun burns and sun strikes? It's most basic stuff that can happen to you. More complicated issues connected to the body inner pressure. Is common for people to faint from high pressure. In DS, damage dealt by overheating just simplified.

  11. Well, back in DS all world was made around the player, and was alive only around him. In DST, looks like world was made the same way. You will not see a random stale seeds around the world. It's because birds spawn only near players. As well as not revealed by any player spider eggs doesn't grow. So there shouldn't be more issues with fire than in single player RoG.
  12. That's exactly what I pointed out, tanking damage! Maybe Abigail is useful vs little things, but when there is a big thing, she is just an anchor.
  13. Wabber don't even need to kill spiders himself, they just kill each other by their own. And Wigfrid regenerates HP when killing enemies. That's cooler than ability to not get hit when dealing with small hordes. As far as you don't aggro a whole egg with it's soldiers, she just get a free health. And in RoG Wendi'll become less powerful. When Wolfgang was able to kill some giants just tanking them 1 v 1, for her all giants are pain in the back. She is already quite frail :/

  15. About balance thingy. You're right that Abigail is extremely strong in experienced hands. And as more you play her as more you understand, how her passive resistance to darkness is powerful too. But you're missing that she is really bad versus big monsters, and big monsters are actual main threat in DS, because you have a load of ways to deal with hordes of little monsters, but very little with big ones. It especially noticeable in RoG (I hope it will hit DST someday) with it's almost guaranteed giants every season. And losing Abigail after every visit to the swamp or beeffalo hunt it's just ridiculous (i.e vulnerability for next 3 days + guaranteed -50 sanity).
