yetkinzade
Hi there, for the beginning, im pretty new in this forum. i've been reading for a time but didn't write too much. However, the reason of me open this thread is, is it possible? I got my key a day ago, and downloaded DST now. I searached in the game settings but couldn't find a thing about LAN. Is there anything in the future about that? Thank you in advance.
MrKoopa
I have seen a few posts made by someone from klei that you can play it. (Or was it for something else I don't remember) D:If I had Don't Starve Together then I would have made a video on how to enable it.
Zillvr
There is an option to Show LAN servers that you can connect to. I do not know how to set up a LAN server specifically. But you can turn on LAN server detection via the Filters > Right Arrow > Show LAN > Switch to Yes. I don't have anyone to play locally with, but I believe if you have another person to play with in the same local area network and they set up a server normally. You can detect their server if you switch Show LAN to Yes. I honestly do not know the specifics though on how to really set up a server as only LAN specific. I hope people with better know-how will reply to you soon. Good luck!
greenglacier
Zillvr is right. Although I prefer setting the server via lua and cfg files.
Developer SethR Posted December 1, 2014 Developer Share Posted December 1, 2014 As others have informed you, yes we support LAN play. Tomorrow's update will make it a bit clearer how that works and when you're creating an online server vs a LAN server
Tusticles
There is a problem playing with steam in offline mode and LAN, I tried to play offline LAN with my brother and the character is not saved but the world is. On google I found pirates talking about this , we are no pirates, we both have beta access. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

It's been a bug addressed and Bigfoot said they'll fix it. I'm guessing December will be "Optimizations everywhere month for DST.

Developer MarkL Posted December 2, 2014 Developer Share Posted December 2, 2014 Today's update should address the LAN mode saving issue. Edit: Patch is not live yet, coming out *later* today.
tali3sin
My partner and I have been trying to not starve together over the last day or so. However, when I create a LAN server - her laptop can't see it. When she creates one, my laptop can't see it. We're on the same wifi network. Will today's update help with that? If not, anything I should try?
