(Looks like I did one of those things where someone posts something expecting other people to say something, but no one knows what to say.

I hate when that happens.)

Just as suddenly as it came, it closed it's eyes and left. Just like that. Without any warning or leaving any trace except for the confused and afraid camp dwellers. Athena stopped shaking as violently, but Wy's presence near her wasn't helping. She blinked, staring at the spot where it had been.

"I-it's... gone? I don't feel it..."

Wilson straightens up.

"I've been here longer than I would like to keep track of, and I've never seen that creature before either... this is troubling. What's even stranger is it's behavior. Most creatures here are usually simple minded beasts that charge on their prey blindly. This came and went with out actually attacking any of us. Intriguing."

Wilson sighs.

"There's nothing we can do about it now. It's gone and we can nor should we go after it. I suggest we all get some sleep and I'll keep watch."

Athena shakes her head.

"No. I should be the one on watch."

"Athena, you need the sleep. Just look at yourself."

"I can't sleep. The night creature is keeping me awake. I can sense it and the other creature that showed up. Yet another reason for me to be on watch."

Whatever that thing was it was bad news. It had put everyone on edge. Cypress's got as close to the fire as she could and looked into the dancing flames, she'd rather stare at a fire than those eyes... She'd rather look at anything rather than those eyes...

Athena sits down on the other side of the fire. She's still shivering and scared, but not as much as before like she has a new found determination.

Wilson sighs.

"If either of you decide to get some sleep, we have a free tent and bed rolls in that chest. he says pointing to say chest before heading to one of the tents.

(Time skip to morning?)

WX retrieved a bed roll from the chest that Wilson indicated and drifted off into sleep. And by drifted off, I mean he sort of went into sleep-mode. Or... Or something. That's how it works, right?

(I'm down for a sleep mode. But a tree will visit the group in the morning, if that's quite alright.)

The sun peeks over the horizon, banishing the dark and the creature within it, and also bringing a bit of comfort to Athena. She stayed in the same spot all night, remaining vigilant. However, the rest of the night had been quiet. A feeling of fatigue along with relief came over her. She hoped she could function during the day with her lack of sleep.

Wilson walked out of his tent and looked around to see who else was awake.

(Forgive me if I make stupid typos.)

Newleaf groaned as he awoke. Something had been amiss last night, if he had recalled... And he normally attributed amiss things to humans. Those foreign bastards couldn't do anything without disrupting something. At that thought, he sent a relay around him, and the plants whispered amongst themselves and carried back information on the location of the human encampment. And thus, Newleaf began his trek.

Cypress had an uneasy sleep during the night, a feeling of paranoia woke her up a couple times. She ignored it to the best of her abilities and took comfort in knowing Wy was watching, along with the fact there were people all around the camp. The day brought feelings of security however. She yawned and stretched her arms.

He tried to hide his fear as much as he could, the night before. Being scared wouldnt have really helped Cypress, which was in his same position, probably.

But once he entered the straw roll, he couldn't help but shiver and moan.

That thing was really creepy.

Luckily, the night was not that long in this period.

He opens his eyes and peeks out of the roll.

Wilson stretched and walked over to the ice box, frowning as he saw the contents, or lack there of. There was only enough food to give them breakfast. They would have to go scavenging afterward. He threw the last of the food into the crock pots and they started to cook.
