{You waiting on me? If you ever are just send me a PM so I know.}

Wekesa made her way over to a crock pot and devoured the produce, this was MUCH easier than hunting.

Cypress wandered over to the Crockpots and got herself a serving, she then sat back down. She was thinking about last night and wasn't particularly hungry... She ate as much as she could however, food shouldn't be wasted. While thinking about last night she seemed distant to the others around her. She wanted to know what that thing was and why it was hunting the group...

{Hue hue}

Athena moved Wakana's burnt hand off the crock pot and handed him a serving.

"Be careful, alright?"

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Cypress not eating much. She looked kind of distant. She walked over and sat down beside her.

"Last night troubling you?"

Wilson turned his head to the apparently still sleeping beetle.

"Moxie, get up. It's morning. Are you going to eat breakfast or find something for yourself again?"

"Oh well," Wilson said as he disregarded the rude insect. "You'll be finding your own food then." He went and got himself the last of the breakfast, as everyone else had already eaten, and made quick work of it.

Now done with the meal, the scientist equipped his pack once more.

"I'm going to gather more food. We are in short supply, and since you are all living in my camp you are going with me. I will not stand for moochers."

Newleaf frowned and tried to contain his frustration. If he was to find the source of the trouble, he needed the humans alive. And for them, eating was a necessity. He tried to make peace with the situation, but it wasn't hard to tell his was upset.

"I AM READY." WX stated, walking over to Wilson.

(Still, without predators killing animals and leaving the carcass behind, there would be considerably less nutrients in the ground and he might even die. Also, I don't see him getting mad at the spiders, pigs, and lure plants for killing animals.)

Cypress looks at Athena. "Little bit... It's like a puzzle, a messed up puzzle... I like puzzles but I don't like that thing from last night, not in the slightest... If it were up to me I'd never see that thing again but I have a feeling it's going to become a more common experience..."

"I hate to say it, but there's really nothing we can do now. It's gone and we have no idea where it went. Who knows, maybe it will find something else to do and won't come back or something." Athena was pretty doubtful of her own statement, but it was still a possibility. "Come on, let's go gather some more food. Maybe it will help take your mind off of things."

(I'm sure if Newleaf saw these predators, he would have said something. And he hasn't encountered pigs, spiders, and lureplants killing stuff in this roleplay yet. He'll try when necessary.)

WX followed along, seemingly scanning the area for any potential prey with his soulless eyes.

Wakana was eating his serving when he put his food down with a majority of it left, which Prompted Wulfric to walk over

and gobble the rest up.

Wakana: "Can Wulfric go with you guys? I'm still a bit exhausted from what happened yesterday... And I need to burrow to rest."

Wilson thought for a moment.

"As long as he doesn't eat the food we gather, I don't see why not."

He was going to have everyone go out to gather, but he could make an exception. They could store food in the hounds pouches anyway.

So the group minus Wakana head to the savanna in the east. It was peacefully uneventful. They checked the traps Wilson had set beforehand, snagging about twelve rabbits, and making some more traps to set down. When they got to the grasslands to gather berries and carrots, however, both Athena and Cypress had the nagging feeling they were being watched. It was a few minutes before Cypress could see a streak of black in the corner of her vision.

Cypress stopped walking and rubbed her eyes hoping that would get rid if the obscurity in her vision, it was if it was never there. She was probably just paranoid, she couldn't let this thing get to her...

{Done. Edited my post}

Wekesa didn't understand why she couldn't eat the rabbits straight away, if they had ensnared them why couldn't she eat them? Flesh pods were strange.

Cypress jogged to catch up with the group, not that she had lagged far behind.

Wilson stopped for a moment to look down at Wulfric. It appeared to want something. Not that skilled in the care of animals, he hesitated before petting it's head.

"Uh... good dog."

Athena flinched as a nearby bush rustled. However, it didn't make any more movements, so she dismissed it as her just being nervous. She walked beside Cypress and whispered.

"Is it just me, or do you feel like we're being watch too?"

Unbeknownst to the group, inside the bush that Athena dismissed, a small creature looked on with ill intent and grinned to himself.
