Overcompensation (Or: how do you resolve your fear of death?)

After experiencing the agony of death and the tedium of re-doing all my hard work so many times in the beginning, I've become pretty paranoid. How do you handle this morbid eventuality? With an excess of meat effigies like me? Or do you have a more creative way of going about it?

I also have a backpack full of amulets. Remember, I'm paranoid.

Hurm, after a particularly disappointing bug involving the game crashing when an effigy triggers(fixed now, I believe), i've learned to avoid using effigies altogether, and my personal proficiency at survival has progressed to the point where I am reasonably comfortable without that particular safety net.

When it comes to enemies and danger, i am far too careful. Heck, i am even scared of 4 spiders while wearing a logsuit. I may not seem like it on the outside, but inside i crap my pants on a regular basis.

I always have a amulet or two with me, but otherwise I just see how it goes. Part of survival is facing dangers that could easily kill you. If my Wolfgang would die, I will not feel bat either, every death is a new lession and it gives me a change to try a vegetarian run.

At day 61 I believe, I wanted to start over with the new build so I started Karamawari's Gentlemanly Fisticuffs challenge and started punching things to death while wearing a dapper vest and top hat. It's pretty freeing from the fear. I died from spiders, but I killed a tentacle.

I don't fear the death the death fears me, becasue if I'd die I'd come back on a new world again and again and again... I'm the death's curse.

A true knight does not fear anything,even ten meters bigger.

I have kited everything without taking damage,except those werepigs,who are wanted on my list.

...Thats why i allways die from stupidly dodging the spiders or getting hacked by a second tentacle wich was near the one i was kitting..

I have nothing to fear. I have bested krampus with my fists.

Edit:The only thing i fear is that sky will fall and kill me instantly.Nothing else.
