DwerBomb
"I wonder why. The system should be perfect. This is the only place where people can remain innocent. The revival pouch. A place where things can be shaped. A place where you can choose to dream forever. Here, even things that fall can fly. So why? Why are you falling again?" Yume Nikki (pronounced "/juːmeɪ niki/") is a surreal rpg adventure game, made with Rpgmaker 2003, by Kikiyama, a japanese game designer. This game is really different from any other rpgmaker game: it follows the journey through the dreams of Madotsuki, a girl who is locked in her room with nothing else to do but playing with a console game, writing on her diary, or sleeping. The game itself doesn't have a plot: it's pure exploration of these imaginative worlds that exist in Madotsuki's dreams. When you start dreaming, you find yourself out of the room, in your veranda. When you go back into the room, you find out that the door previously locked can now be opened. This door leads you to "the Nexus", the main area of the dream, where you can access the 12 doors that lead to the other worlds of the dream. The point of the game is to collect all of the 24 effects and bring them to the nexus.Only then, you can awake for real. Here is the link of the wiki page, where you can find more infos:http://yumenikki.wikia.com/wiki/Yume_Nikki If you want to download the game, click on the image below: And this is the origianal (translated) site:http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=de&rurl=translate.google.de&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://www3.nns.ne.jp/pri/tk-mto/main.html&usg=ALkJrhgSaAxUpgUVKgtr5x3hlmz8hGZ4Fg There is also an original manga that you can read here:http://mangafox.me/manga/yume_nikki/I raccomend checking it out, preferably after completing the game, though. So, what is the purpose of this thread? As I am a huge fan of this game, I wanted to share it with you. I feel like playing this would be an interesting experience for everyone. It's not easy to understand this game, but the deep meanings that work as a foundation for this weird building are something everyone should try to explore. This is an experience everyone should try.And if you don't like it, at least you could say that you have tried one of the most original rpgmaker games ever made. Keep dreaming.-The Stitched Doll

Snob
I find the theories more enduring than the actual game.
DwerBomb
I find the theories more enduring than the actual game. The theories are just the best thing about this game. The fact that there is no official plot revealed makes it possible for everyone to believe in a theory, and that's great.
