Howdy folks,

I bought the game and received 2 Steam keys and 2 Chrome Keys.

I've used 1 Steam key on myself and just finished giving the other one away. It was fantastic.

But what this topic is about is the Chrome Keys.

Am I correct in thinking that they are 2 completely separate keys from the Steam Keys and can be given away to 2 more people?

If so then that is fantastic, I'll be able to let 2 more people enjoy the game I have fallen in love with.

Also if this has been answered in other topics (I'm certain it probably has) then I apologise, I'm new to the forum and didn't find anything relating to this in my search for answers.

Aww, Welcome to the forum, You polite and sweet thing you! To be honest, I don't know the answer to that, But couldn't resist responding. Hopefully one of those keys you behold will find it's way into my pocket as a christmas present.

But yes, I believe the Chrome keys could be given to the other people, Else you wouldn't be able to get two.

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking, I'm just not used to technically getting 4 games with only intending to get 1 for me.

So I'm very happy, one of them could indeed land into your pocket for Christmas, but you'll have to do it the proper way by taking part in my giveaways. ;)

My understanding was that you bought either the steam copy, or the chrome copy. I could be wrong, but someone will probably correct me if that is the case.

Oh no no. I bought it from the actual website which linked me to the humble bundle website.

It gave me 2 Steam Keys and 2 Chrome Keys.

Hope this clarifies a few things :)

You indeed have bought 4 keys. Now, you already used both Steam keys, and that's fine. You can now theoretically give away the 2 Chrome keys to other people, but if you do so, please explain to them that the Steam equivalent of those key where already redeemed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they saw, in the Chrome version of the game, the button to convert their keys to Steam, tried to use it and came to the forums later complaining they can't get their game on Steam. It's happened ;)

Ofcourse you are. If you wish to give them to others, you are allowed.

I myself am looking for a key to give to a friend of mine, but i already gave all mine away :p

There shouldn't be a problem in giving them away, its what everyone does!

What else are you supposed to do with 4 keys? Use them all yourself? :p

Does that mean, if I bought the game on Steam, I can't play it in Chrome? Like, in case I get shivers and need to play Don't Starve when I'm someplace else. I was trying to find my Key on Steam, but it doesn't show the "View CD Key..." option for the game, so I don't think I can try activate the Chrome version. :S

The Steam keys we get from this conversion (Chrome) are the same Steam keys we get from the Humble Store?

I've already activated the first Steam key. From the the two Chrome key's available which one is associated with the already activated Steam key? The first one or the second one?

Basically, yes. They are technically your Steam equivalents from your Chrome keys, meaning they are for you and your friend. But if you want to, you could give them away to two completely different friends, but then you won't be able to play on steam, and they won't be able to play on Chrome.

Your choice.

So I basically have 4 Steam Keys and 2 Chrome Keys.

Chrome Key grants you access on Chrome and allows you to get a Steam key using the Chrome key x 2

Steam Keys in Humble Store x 2
