Fndsh1
@bizziboi Thanks a lot for the answer. The two of us got slaughtered, but clearly we weren't prepared enough.
Fyrjefe
I honestly think that hounds are fine as they are. Making the hound spam even bigger would just turn 60+days worlds with more than one player into a living hell. That's half the fun of it! Build a big tricked out panic room. Get creative! Hugo M.
Whats so fun about getting a f*ckton of inovaidable hounds spawned at your face as means to 'increase the dificulty'? That honestly seems like a very boring way to increase the dificulty, and when combined with the damage reduction just gets even far more boring and unfair. _Q_
@Fndsh1 >>The number of people actually IN the game, at the time of spawning? This. Each player that is in the game will get their own amount of hounds, if they were around long enough to hear the warnings. The amount of hounds they get is based on their individual age so that a 'young' player doesn't get too many hounds to have a fair chance. If players are separated and PvP is disabled send all hounds on ONE player. No need to divide them or multply the numbers. Just do it like in base game, make them go after one player to kill him. Also hounds are cheap, they always were. Time to make something new. More hounds = more thooth = more tooth traps = boring game.If anything you should lower the numbers, very rare and unexpected attack can deal more dmg than frequent ones that you expect all the time. The Letter W
Bush hat became more ultimate. The Hounds will go past you and onto the next player.Though I'm not that much of a jerk, I just use it amongst other creatures so they'll aggro on that, not my friends. Villager103
Giants should stay the same, Hound attacks are multiplied X2 for each player. A regular X1 hound attack will be sent to a single player with no one near. If there are 2/3/4 players in the same spot they will all take the same hound attack but multiplied by 4. Tomer8009
If I were balancing the game:Enemies that get significant numbers (spiders, hounds, etc) would have no change in stats, but multiplicative boosts in numbers enabled through various tricks. Basically, the more players in the vicinity, the more enemies that spawn. (Treeguards too.)Enemies that show up alone (mostly just giants) would still just be solo, but have increased stats that effectively multiply their threat. Not just health, but things like attack speed and stun time would be tweaked as well.MacTusk & Co would be a mix of the two; MacTusk and Jr would get stat buffs like solo giants, but they'd bring more hounds, whose individual stats are unchanged.Thats actually pretty good, you should post it as a thread
