CaptainClam Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 First encounter: Wearbeaver Woodie, far away from my base, he spawned in and chased me only to die to a giant treeguard in a pig village later. I died trying to keep the meat away from pigs and spiders. This was my only encounter with him pre-ROG. Hellbilly Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Day 35... My camp was perfect. Farms, Pigs, koalefant pin, bird cages, Ice boxes full of meat, all the resources I needed planted near by. Had two death traps set up with extra gear and food as well. Was starting to gear up and stock pile for spelunking. He appeared outside my camp at night, first the pigs got his wrath, then my entire camp was gone before I could kill him. Freakin penguins ate all his meat and eyeball. I started to rebuild afterwards and then died the next day trying to keep my fire going. Go figure. I took out the meat again and shoved my face in it. He appeared. With my hambat, he stood no chance. R.I.P deerclops. After I was resurrected, I barely had time to pick up my items when the hounds attacked. The hounds made short work of the pengulls, but then the Deerclops decided to show up and kill the hounds and 15+ beffalos. I ran away for the night and waited out winter. But at least I had tons of wool and meat from the Beefalo right? No, because the next day Lightning stuck WX-78 and burned the items as I was collecting it. R0DW0LF Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Willow round, I was collecting rabbits , and hanging with beefalos , then I herd some growling , I am new to the game so my reaction was HOLY S@#$ WT HECK WAS THAT, well sure enough Giant Deerclops appeared , kill all my beefalos just in time , for the frisking hounds to show up , lucky enough they got his attention, I ran away and try to get some fire going , and as I chopped off a tree a frisking treeguard appeared , then guest who sowed up , yea they started going at it on top of my fire and then the fire went out , I died in the darkness , just my luck. Decelexevi Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 My first giant was a dragonfly. That sucked. Next was Goose/Moose though and that wasn't hard at all. That game actually ended though when I thought I could kill those adorable little chicks easily. Actually thought my first deerclops fight was cake since he was the only one besides dragonfly that doesn't disarm you every 2 seconds. Didn't have to suffer through the 0 sanity afterwards, either as I was playing Wigfrid. My first bearger was the worst, though. He was rummaging through my ice box for food and I tried smacking him to get his attention. Probably should have used a ranged weapon since he went straight into his ground pound attack and smashed my entire base. That was an epic period of rebuilding from scratch.
