The man apologized? He had slightly frightened Zach earlier, but he didn't expect the man to apologize... Strangely enough, the shaman found a small smile forming. "It's okay. Being hungry is not good." Inwardly, he winced. That wasn't quite the way he wanted to say it, but it didn't matter now. What did matter was the question that followed. He should have guessed that was the first thing that the human would ask. His blindness always seemed to be the most important thing. Not who he was, where they were.... The fact that he couldn't see always seemed to come first. "Yes." He couldn't keep the disappointment from his voice, and the small grin fled his face. "I cannot see."

So this was an inteligent thing, not just an animal which he meet during travel.

Ferro was terrified. Even water did not work.

The only hope was the spell in his book.

He took the book with his own hand and said mentally the spell.

"I...i'm sorry to hear that.....kinda feel bad now....who are you?", Tritus asked. If he was going to apologize to the kid, he figured that he might as well try to socialize a tiny bit. More memories were starting to flood in, but he tried to suppress them.
