XxTheGentleManScientistxX
I have Don't Starve for standalone, but I want it for steam. Would I have to buy it again, or is there a way where I can download it to steam? Maximum124
You'd need to buy it again through steam Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/36853-steam/#findComment-488651 Share on other sites
Syd
As long as it wasn't bought through GOG, you don't need to buy it again. Unless something has changed, I don't believe the GOG key can be redeemed on Steam. OP, try following the instructions on this thread that are relevent to how you bought it: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/15989-how-keys-work-post-launch/ If you need to get to your Humble page for it but you can't find it, put the email you bought it with into Humble's key resender: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/keyresender If you still have problems after trying what's posted in that thread, send an email to Klei with whatever useful information you can include about how you bought it (where you bought it from, email address used, transaction number, etc), and they should be able to help you: LiveSupport@KleiEntertainment.com Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/36853-steam/#findComment-488655 Share on other sites

MycoLogical
I don't get why people buy it standalone rather than on steam. Is there something I should know about? emrextreme
I don't get why people buy it standalone rather than on steam. Is there something I should know about? You don't need to start the steam every freaking time you want to play. I installed the standalone versions as soon as i learned that i can. I have 720 games on steam that i bought when i had the steam fever but i had enough of steam, i'm going for drm-free games now. jbeetle
I don't get why people buy it standalone rather than on steam. Is there something I should know about? There's what emrextreme said, but there's also the group that believes that all DRM is created equal, that one is just as bad as any other form of DRM. Then there's the people that see that Steam only gives you a license to play the game and could theoretically take back the game at anytime or whatever. XxTheGentleManScientistxX
It was easier to get standalone at the time. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/36853-steam/#findComment-490650 Share on other sites
