How shallow. Entropy couldn't help but think, but he shook his head. Arguing this stance would be rather troublesome at the moment... But it would probably have to be thought of eventually. They were working towards Carter's supposed freedom, after all.

(Sorry. A bit unsure as to what to do next. Lemme figure something out here...)

The pathway forward seemed darker and darker, as the terrain turned more rocky and unforgiving. Wilson held his lantern high and continued forward.

[WARNING: "MAGICAL" ANOMALIES DETECTED. PROCEEDING WITH CAUTION.]

WX-78 followed close behind them. The pathway led to a strange stone tower that was mostly destroyed. Somewhere underneath the stone tower, Rustlung and Alma waited. He kept his voice down so that they wouldn't overhear.

"Can you feel the new power flow through your veins, Alma?..."

Rustlung chuckled. He summoned ghastly tendrils from his hand, they wrapped around Alma, forcing her out of the moving chair she had been placed in. The power was not of the darkness of the realm they were in, but from something else, something far more alien. She could feel the pull of another entity. However, before she could sense further on this, the pain set in. An immense, shooting pain through every nerve in her body. Rustlung took out a clump of black crystals, and held them up to Alma's now entirely tentacle-wrapped form.

Next came the transformation, as the dark corruption hidden deep underneath Rustlung's skin and bones planted itself inside her, and begun to twist and change her physical body. Rustlung kept a steady pace as the black crystal clump shattered. Then as quickly as it had started, it was over. The tentacles disintegrated, revealing Alma's changed form. She was cloaked in a thin black veil, her stature, size and posture far more imposing and threatening, nails lengthened and sharpned to fine points. A crystal eye had grown in to replace Alma's missing one, carrying power instead of sight. Strange linkless cuffs had appeared around her neck, wrists and ankles. She could feel true power in her veins, coursing through her with new energy.

"I know. I know.....but it's the only way forward..."

Suddenly, Rustlung put his hand on the aura, and turned into a black cloud of dark matter, seeping up into the tower foundation. Suddenly....

KABOOM!

The tower foundation literally exploded, the black shroud that was Rustlung rose up and pulled Wilson off his feet, putting him up in the air. He groaned and swung the lantern. The lantern merely got caught in it's mass for a moment, before being tossed to the ground, and breaking apart, the lightbulb fueling it rolling off somewhere. The others were quickly plunged into total darkness.

( @DwerBomb,@Blewcheese, have at it. Go time. )

Rustlung laughed and threw Wilson to the ground. He yelled out in pain, or at least tried to. It was interrupted when he coughed up blood, his organs being flattened somewhat by hitting the ground, without any bones to take the shock of landing face-first. A dark fire lit up on the ground, lighting up Alma.

"G...g....uhh.......Alma...........good god........wha....what....what are you now?...."
