Alma mutters.

"That's sad."  Vilsig says, licking clean the inside of his eye sockets.  "Why don't you just get rid of that body?"

Alma shakes her head.

"I can't. Alma is the only one who can host me. From the moment the ritual has been done, we bacame one. She is the only human who could host me because of her multiple souls, which I use to feed myself."

"If you don't mind me interrupting. Vilsig, I think it might behoove you to leave the more complex plans to Alma and myself. For the time being. I'm afraid I have more expertise in these matters than you do."

Vilsig tilts his head to the side with a crack.  "Complex plans?  When did I say I would help you with complex plans?  I did my part, now you can get your hands dirty."

"About the same time you promised to help me with my plans, at all. Regardless, I want to see how the newest acquisition fares against them. Another good chance to probe their real potential in a fight. And then....well.....we will see where that takes us."

Meanwhile, the gang walks past a spider nest - Or at least, the remains of one. Spider corpses are strewn about everywhere, and the nest itself has been dug open. Judging by the size of the bones nearby, they used to belong to a spider queen.

"No. Sorry, Vilsig. But I suspect that Alma must be allowed to kill Marcy personally if I am to retain her cooperation in my endeavors."
