Or maybe it was never intended, but personally I think snow should have some wetness applied to it. It just seems weird standing all night in the snow and not getting at least a little wet.

Winter makes you cold, it doesn't matter if there is snow on ground or not, you will freeze during winter.

It would only make your shoes wet, wet shoes is not the reason you start to see black hand trying to kill you by taking out the fire.

@Misaki where I live it snows from the sky, and gets everything wet under the sky, this includes more than my shoes.

 

I am only interested in wetness being applied while snowing, not bringing back the ground wetness affecting inventory.

Winter makes you cold, it doesn't matter if there is snow on ground or not, you will freeze during winter.

Snow does speed up freezing time, however.

It was never intended. I remember one of the devs saying that it wasa bug.

While true, the speed and extent to which you get wet is nowhere near as bad as it is in rain. You can usually just brush most of it off every few minutes and stay pretty much dry.

I agree, which is why I suggest the amount of wetness increase slower than when in rain, and only when raining.

I would argue that, realistically, you'd be close enough to a fire in the winter to warm up in less time than it would take for the slowed wetness meter to have any effect. This would probably render the snow causing wetness completely moot if it were much slower.

Maybe, but in the game, with the new heatstone, I can leave camp for about 2 days before freezing with proper winter gear. Maybe applying wetness would shorten this time?
