Conspiracy313
I want to say right off that I LOVE how frogs fall from the sky in spring. It adds an unanticipated obstacle and its really hectic. Its also really fun..... the first time or two. When you start wondering if you should have built an ark they start to lose their charm. I had frogs fall from the sky three times throughout my spring, and my base was littered with them. Considering the number of frogs that fall each time, it sort of ruined spring for me because all I did was try to avoid them and lead them into my traps, because if I were to try to kill any, like 20 of them would start swarming me. So having them rain more than once before you can clean up the first rainfall is REALLY ANNOYING. It left me zero time to prepare for summer, and I nearly died to overheating. So I was wondering if anyone else thought that multiple frog storms in a season were a little too OP? My solution would be to have it run on the same system as the wolves do, X number of days after spring begins, and maybe twice total per season max. I'd rather it not replace the wolves in spring though. It was cool when I could use the wolves to take care of the frogs. _Q_
Just put traps around the base.If you see frogs raining from the sky move away from your base and it will be frog free.Don't attack frogs they are easy to avoid, and will give you lot of food with just few traps. Ridley
Frogs shouldn't be able to kill beefalo herds. I wish beefalo had a damage multiplier on them. When you don't want to hassle with rabbit traps, use stupid creatures. A mosquito can bring all the frogs to one point, and spiders might be able to take them. A rock lobster could tank them while you solo'd frogs. Lure plants need to instant kill those jerks. brummbar7
Catcoons can insta-kill frogs with their pounce. And in spring, if you can spend most of the time around bees, those spring bees will aggro frogs, and you might get some free honey out of it. Conspiracy313
I used like 5 traps and it took around 2 days per rainfall to get rid of them all as well as used the bees and the wolves and pigs. I used literally every available option. I even used a copse of trees for charcoal to burn like 7 of them at once. (By far the best method.) That's how I didn't die. I didn't use the catcoons though..... Will they really be frog free? I though I tried that but I could have not waited long enough before returning to base.I literally had 60 frog legs when I was finished. Mr_E_Fox
Frogs are interesting. They're not territorial in the same way bees, tentacles, deerclops, and merms are because they won't attack dark creatures unless attacked first.I actually have frogs collecting resources for me now, it's great. <3 you frogs. mitboy
Maybe after the rain all frogs go to the nearest pond and jump into it? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/33450-falling-frogs-of-doom-op/#findComment-436918 Share on other sites

While annoying, they arent a real threat (except at night if they are around your camp fire) A few traps can eliminate them. You can attack one and run away luring them away from your camp. Bring in a few pig friends if needed. Without the frogs, there is no real threat to spring, so I dont think it is OP, just a challenge. Killer bees work well, just lure one or more frogs into the area.A Frog swarm can be used to defend against hound attacksLure plants don't work effectively on frogs, and frogs will actually often kill a Lure Plant Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/33450-falling-frogs-of-doom-op/#findComment-437110 Share on other sites
BipedalBear
I'm pretty sure you have never beaten adventure mode before, cold reception map have raining frogs ever two days! As some one suggested, use traps! There are also some ways you can deal with the frogs, I, personally, love to use gun powder to blow them up, or you can lead them to mobs like treeguard or pigs. For some reason, every map generated in my game always end up with one beefalo, so beefaloes are always extinct due to the frog rain :/ Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/33450-falling-frogs-of-doom-op/#findComment-437135 Share on other sites
