20%+ crampus sack probability

Nahh, i dont think so, the krampus sack is meant to be a extremely rare items, and it reflects that by giving 12* slots of backpack, if that thing were to drop at a 1 in 5 chance from such a monster as krampus then it would either have to be severely nerfed, or removed altogether

that would be a tweak not a fix, since a fix would be repairing something that's not intended. But my mini grammar rant aside...

I think its fine as it is, an endgame item that is infinitely better than all alternatives

I mean, if he actually means a +20% increase in the overall drop rate then thats fine with me, it'll still be like, 0.012 :p

He is an enemy designed to be a punishment.  He's not that strong yet he has a ridiculously small chance to drop an amazing item.  Then you get a scenario where lot's of players deliberately waste a lot of time getting into trouble to kill the relatively weak "punishment" enemy and the only thing going through their minds is "Ok. Now drop the sack this time!" not "No! I've been too naughty!  Now i'm in fear of my life and/or my belongings!"

It just feels a bit off to me.  If they increase the sack drop rate, the sure need to buff his health and damage as well so then the sack feels like more of a deserved reward for winning a fight for your life and not just getting super lucky through hours of tedium.

However it is what it is and I never bothered to summon him because of it.

There actually is a official Klei mod that adds it to where every winter a horde of very buffed Krampus will attack your base and if you kill them all before daybreak you get the sack but if you don't then you pay a price. To bad it isn't added into the game.

I should of made a note that I was aware of that mods existence.  While I feel like it takes a few steps in the right direction, they might be a bit too powerful for 6 swarming you on a random winter night.  Granted it's probably intended to be turned on for late game world's, but it would need to be toned down a bit for the normal game.  Most importantly beyond just a stats change it would be nice to see a way for the player to instigate the Krampus swarm for that night.  Like breaking/killing "something" special that spawns in winter.

So the player could be consciously doing it for the sack, but know they are taking a BIG risk.

So, say like, something like a evil christmas tree spawns, and if you break it down with a hammer, several krampus hissing noises play and the character says something like "I have provoked the demon" <--- (probably wendy)

I scoff at this idea. *Scoff*

I wanted to add more to this post to further explain my reasoning, but the reasonings of others before me on this thread are sufficient.

Well the truth is that I'm all "explanation-ed out" from the other posts I did tonight. xD
