Changes

  • Auto-Grabber can now deposit matching items into Expansive Storage Units (activated via Spatializer Circuits).
  • Expansive Storage Units now inherit WX-78’s preserver rates from active Refrigerant and Thermal Circuits.
  • Blocking Circuit ability will protect against thief sources such as Frogs, Bearger, Powder Monkey, Otter, etc.
  • Other players’ Exploiterators will now appear faded out if there are too many WX-78 players using them on your screen.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Auto-Grabber’s range boost needing Warm Standby even when following WX-78.
  • Fixed Possessed Chassis trying to walk forward to its target when waiting for projectiles to return to the Gloomerang.
  • Fixed Possessed Chassis sometimes crashing when their leader tries to row.
  • Fixed Cookie Cutters phasing through a boat when electrocuted as they land.
  • Fixed WX-78s Electrification Circuit skill perk electric attack being able to arc to other players when PVP is not enabled.
  • Fixed Shadow-Aligned WX-78 unable to Implant or Consume shadow items while riding a Beefalo.
  • Fixed Possessed Chassis being stunned by the Tail o’ Three Cats super crack.
  • Fixed Possessed Chassis weapons reverting to full (instead of half) durability cost after spinning.
  • Fixed Possessed Chassis not reaching their target when spinning.
  • Fixed Transfer Consciousness action being shown to characters other than WX-78.
  • Fixed equipped items on a Backup Chassis reverting back to a Mimicreep when reloading.
  • Fixed items reverting back to Mimicreeps automatically after some time even when a Possessed Shadow Atrium is Implanted.
  • Fixed inconsistent drain when using either Winona’s Generator or G.E.M.erator to recharge WX-78.
  • Fixed Zaptrocuter projectiles sometimes getting stuck in the air.

Beefalo-Specific Circuits: Would it be possible to add new Beta or Gamma circuits specifically designed to enhance Beefalo riding and mounted combat? Having a dedicated circuit would be a fantastic addition for players who love this specific playstyle.

Exploiterator Drone Synergy: Currently, the Exploiterator drone's damage boost does not apply when WX-78 is attacking while mounted on a Beefalo. It would be amazing if this could be adjusted. For comparison, Wendy's Abigail does successfully boost Beefalo damage. Not everyone wants to play Wendy just to enjoy optimal Beefalo combat, so giving WX-78 this synergy would be a great alternative.

That is weird

Not sure if that's necessarily a bug, but interaction of remote transfer with Sanctum area's teleportation blocking feels a kinda awkward: you can transfer conciousness from Sanctum, to other bodies outside of it, but not the opposite, which means that you can easily get a body stuck in there, and that you will have to go to the whirlpool again to return there to fetch it(ig by sending in an empty body and breaking it afterwards) and just generally resume exploration of the location. 

I suggest not being able to remotely transfer conciousness from the Sanctum at all.

I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be, but I went with one of the WX-78 to Monkey Island to exchange spores for items, but I ended up turning into a monkey. I already had bananas to return to normal. When I finished everything I had to do there, I sent the items via delivery and also left that WX-78 on the island because I was going to get the materials for Hermit Rehomer to take the pearl to the mainland. However, I noticed that all the consciousness teleporters on the map were disabled. I can no longer return to the main WX-78 that was at the base. I had to reset the day to before I had turned into a monkey.

Does anyone know if they changed how WOBOT works? Because I can't get it to put things in Chester anymore.

Was the Bernie! issue fixed? The WX update completely broke him, making him unable to actually taunt shadows properly...

Specifically: He only taunts shadows during the little animation, the moment it ends they instantly re-aggro onto a nearby player.

Unfourntnly with how it works, if you lose the skill you lose the ability to change to bodies until you reatatch yourself to them

since you were wonkey you no longer had that skill, this same behavior happens when you use the celestial portal to change your skill tree/ and spawn without chasis skills(or change character then change back)

info above was done in a solo world, unsure if results would differ sine the world would've been paused when i was changing characters

I understand why it works that way with portal and think that bit should remain that way, but having that happen with wonkey seems quite frusterating and i do hope that bit is changed

If its not changed tho, it might be an intersting way to kind of bypass the body limit for those who dont care about teleporting

Can we leave beefalo specific skills to wigfrid and woby/walter... like please... let our girl have some crumbs

Okay I know we moving on from robot now but I can't help but ask this

Can we please get more duration consuming nightmare fuel and pure horror in order to fulfill the charge meter? Like it lasts so little you end up eating so much fuel before it gets back to full

the lunar branch is quite interesting, but the possessed chassis still can't reload the howlitzer and bone armor, and many alpha circuit upgrades don't work on clones, such as the stomach-expanding circuit. I also wish the clones could move to caves, and it would be fun if the circuit extractor could also extract gems from the winona generator and lunar lenses.

I have strong feeling that it is not beta branch.  

anyway little suggestion: add little marker near changes which came from bug report and/or community suggestions. I always get moral boost when see dev thoughts/reactions

So, the auto-grabbers deposit stuff into the expandinator slots. So how are other players supposed to access them to collect the resources if the WX player that built them isn't around? Would be nice to have an unlock option like we have for Woby.

After some testing I am unable to reproduce the same issue. There are instances where the shadow creature can retarget for a moment after performing its taunt animation, as it drops aggro on the current target and allows itself to retarget another player before being drawn by Bernie again, this is working as intended and how current behaviour has been.

The BERNIE! taunt is on a set periodic timer, and doesn't have any correlation to only occurring during certain animations. Are you using any mods that might be altering Bernie's gameplay behaviours?

None. I just noticed that shadows consistently deaggro from Bernie! even when not attacking them, tried it out in pure vanilla. :(

Now, with the release of WX-78's skill tree and the ability to transfer modules to the chassis, I’ve been thinking about Winona’s skill tree — specifically regarding the way her Teleport Stations work.
 
Basic Mechanics: To teleport, you need a Portasol in your inventory and a Teleport Station connected to a generator.
 
Destination Rule: Currently, teleporting always takes you to the nearest station. If there are several on the map, you are sent to the one at the shortest physical distance from where you activated the Portasol.
 
Would it be possible to change this so it works more like WX-78’s teleport? My idea is to keep the current activation (clicking the item in hand) to go to the nearest destination, but also allow the player to open the map and select a specific Teleport Station to travel to, just like WX-78 selects the chassis.
 
In my opinion, this would be a very beneficial quality-of-life improvement. What do you guys think?
