Isn't there a bug that makes clockworks you fixed in the ruins hostile after a server reset or something? Other than that, lunar years were exciting because they were a window of small/big reworks to the animal,therefore touching the base game itself (like the one with the beefalo, that was great). You could live off of lucky gold coins. Tl;dr: You could buy a whole dish worth of 60+ hunger for 1 gold coin (around 1 coin IIRC)...
