These are open questions which require your knowledge of rare mechanics. Please use only the knowledge you possess to reply, and don't read other participants' answers beforehand if you plan to provide your reply. You could skip questions if you have no idea how to answer. You're welcome to add your challenge questions.

  1. Why telelocator focus/staff or lazy deserter not used to teleport to the Athrium or the Ruins?
  2. What will happen on the night 21th if shadow pieces statues are hammered in Caves?
  3. What is the cheapest bait for Wobster?
  4. Do you know any way to make an enemy freeze when it hits you?
  5. Do you know any way to extinguish a dwarf star?
  6. If you are on a boat with a fridge full of bananas, your inventory doesn't contain bananas, and there are no items dropped, will a monkey raid target you or your fridge? Will the fridge be destroyed if targeted?

Answers revealed (I haven't verified all, so if you'll find a mistake, let me know):

Spoiler
  1. Telelocator staff causes earthquakes in Caves instead of teleporting a creature. Lazy deserter will work, so can be used.
  2. You can't fight shadow pieces in Caves, since they are not affected by the moon cycle. So statues won't shake.
  3. The cheapest bait for Wobster is literally NOTHING. Yes, Wobsters are free to catch.
  4. Chilled amulet actually posesses this mechanic, but since it's freeze value is low, enemy should land a lot of hits on you before it will work.
  5. Ghosts can extinguish drawf stars, so if you're dead and no one cares, grief their lightsource at night!
  6. Monkeys seem to ignore the fridge, so they'll go towards you.

Well I haven't even thought about it, interesting idea. The reply I expected as correct was chilled amulet, however it requires to receive a lot of hits.

I'll attempt to provide answers for questions 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. I expect to be incorrect on some answers as I haven't played DST at all this year:

Spoiler

1: Telelocator doesn't work in the caves (Causes earthquakes if you try), and Lazy Deserter requires another player to already be in the required location to begin channelling it.

2: Pretty sure all that happens is the suspicious marble used to repair them falling back to the ground. Shadow Pieces can only be fought on the surface as far as I'm aware, since caves are unaffected by the moon phase unless I'm missing something.

4: Chilled Amulet.

5: Haunt it as a ghost. I don't remember if it's a 100% chance for it to despawn, but if it doesn't work the first time, just keep trying.

6: They should target the fridge. I don't think they'll break it, but I've never actually experienced this specific scenario happen during gameplay.

1. No idea

2. Nothing happens

3. Don’t need anything. They hook themselves onto your rod on their own.

4. Blue gem amulet

5. Haunting

6. I remember running into something like this before — if I’m remembering correctly, they’ll act normal and just rob you until they’ve taken about 40 items

Honestly I was convinient lazy deserter will also cause earthquakes, but it seems it doesn't.

They will target you acording to what I saw, and they seem to break only boat-specific structures, like sales.

Happy to hear someone knows it.When I was watching Lardee's video about Wilson, he was suggesting to use berry or rot as a bait, butfrom my expirience Wobsters not only can be caught without any bait, but also are baited eaisier this way.

Spoiler

1. Lightning cannot strike underground. It causes an earthquake instead. For the Lazy Deserter... idk, I've never used it because I play solo.

2. The statues cannot be mined once repaired. Since they will not be shaking as they are not on the surface to be affected by a new moon (similar to pigs not turning into werepigs during full moon underground) (Or I am just wrong).

3. Cheapest is relative. I personally use a Dusk or Nighttime Lure. Since they are really cheap imo and infinite.

4. Chill Amulet, though it is slow.

5. I did know, but I forgot. Or maybe it was a mod? Idr.

6. Monkey Raid will target the player. Unless I am sorely mistaken, monkeys cannot rifle through chests/fridges.

1. what you mean? you can use lazy deserter and i have seen it be used for that before...unless you have.....you just all lone soul.... purple staff does not work in cave

2. then you realy dit speedrun them statues to even be able to make them inside a cave

3. you use bait?

4. ice amulet that no one uses

5. .better question would be why you want to...unless you placed it terrible in wich case, why?

6. why sould i have bananas on me? why sould i deal with these evil creatures when i can just teleport?

No bait I consider to be the cheapest.

Lazy Deserter will actually work, I didn't know it initially.

Well, you can receive scetches on day 11 too, so since it's not day 1 then I won't cnsider it speedrunning) But anyways it's not an answer.

these also won't count, but 3 of 6 is a great score)

Gonna be what I know, too.

Spoiler

1. Telelocator part I get, it doesn't do anything apart from giving you concussions from above. Deserter? Huh?
3. Seeds, perhaps?
4. Chilled Amulet. Each hit they land on you is worth 0.67 freezing stacks... not too good!
5. Let Abby haunt it. Or, well, you commit oof and YOU do it.

@shaurun In the early part of my playtime, I struggled a lot with ocean fishing. I watched 4–5 videos just to understand the rod mechanics, but even then I couldn’t figure it out. I didn’t know when I was supposed to reel in. This was something I learned back in those days.

oh they are answeres for sure for these situations to deal with them

1. Lightning from telelocator staff is blocked in caves, so it doesn't work. Lazy deserter is fine as long as you can see the place you want to teleport to.

2. Probably nothing. Never tested that.

3. Probably nothing as well, or just some berries should work.

4. Not sure if it's allowed, but wear bramble armor which kills ice hound on trigger and freezes enemies around. It would be cool to have that by wearing chilling modules on wx, but I believe that it doesn't work.

5. Die and haunt the star.

6. Idk. I think they'll still target you, take a couple of bananas and leave.

Easy. Don't Starve nerd here

1. Cant use tele staff in caves

2. Nothing

3. Literally nothing

4. Chilled Amulet

5. Haunt it

6. This one is hard. They're programmed to target chests. And if a banana happens to be or ends up in the floor, they'll take it and leave. Similar to marotters, target meat in any storage item. HOWEVER, I have never seen a powder monkey touch my fridge and it's thermal stones so... my answer is no. Fridge and contents are safe.

Bonus question from me

1. Did you know seafood gumbo exists in DST? What is the recipe for it?

Spoiler

1. The telelocator causes earthquakes, but not sure what you mean with the lazy deserter. I've seen them built there on many servers, and have built them on mine aswell.

2. I don't know, but I'm guessing nothing will happen, since the moon doesn't affect anything else in the cave either. Not even the pig head's eyes are glowing on full moon. (the ones next to touchstones)

3. No clue, will skip that one.

4. Never heard of that, but my guess would be the chilled amulet. Pretty sure it's not WX's refrigerant circuit, I have been attacked while wearing that a bunch, and nothing else makes sense to me.

5. You die and haunt it, or use the haunt at command for abigail.

6. I don't know for sure, but I would guess they go for the player. The fridge would not be destroyed either way, unless they shoot it with a cannon.

Thank you, that was a fun little game. ❤️

That was the first thought that crossed my mind, simply make him shoot rockets that will extinguish dwarf star. I completely forgot about hauntint mechanic. xd

Tele staff doesnt work in cave dimension. Deserter on other hand does work and I have seen players using it in ruins, atrium and other locations.

Havent tried this but most likely nothing. I doubt they will even shake.

Upd. I see you said "mined" which implies you mean statues from setpiece. Well that means its impossible without cheats in first place because shadow chess setpiece is surface exclusive. And if you mean statues created by player, you need to hammer them, not mine.

Haunt as ghost / abigail. Thermalock missiles also instagib them.

Unsure because I hate sailing but I think they will likely go for bananas first without destroying containers.

The Telelocator Staff doesn't work underground but the Lazy Deserter does so I'm not sure why you'd say that isn't used. It requires another person but it's great in multiplayer.

It's been awhile since I fished for wobsters, but I think seeds and berries work. You might even be able to catch them without any bait. Don't remember.

I guess Woodie by spamming idols can keep going for as long as needed for as long as you have the perk to not go to 0 hunger when de-transforming? Not sure, tbh.

There's a handful of ways I can think of overcoming starvation damage, but I think it's worth being specific here: "survive" in this context refers to avoiding having your health fall to 0, right? So using revival options doesn't count?

Also, surviving the first 70 days, right? Not just any span of 70 days?

Spoiler

Either way, I figure there's a decent chance that Webber with nurse spiders or Wortox with soul healing can make it work. Maybe Wigfrid too?

It's a bit of an open question. The thing I had specifically in mind is an oversight/exploit/bug/whatever that I don't know if it got patched or not where you can

Spoiler

disable starvation by just constantly doing the eat animation and interrupting it with an inspection quote. You don't lose hunger during the eat animation so if you just mash "Eat" then "Inspect" on a tall bird egg, looping it indefinitely, you don't lose any hunger. You would need to do something else to account for all the other non-starvation based dangers, but all of them have a permanent solution that works while the player is spamming the animation.

But depending on how you interpret the question there's also plenty of other possible answers. But I would say that if your health reaches 0 it doesn't count. The solution you gave would definitely work if you set it up right.

1. Telelocator focus doesn't work neither does anything that uses lightning, the result is just a few rocks falling at the location. You can use the lazy deserter, Wanda's watches, and twintale hearts to teleport In the caves.

2. Nothing.

3.Nothing. You don't need any bait to catch a wobster, however this might take a while.

4. Chilled amulet.

5. Haunting via player or Abigail skill.

6. you will be targeted first, if you don't have enough items the fridge.
