layangan putus
Another 4-input could be the G-F-D#-D# sound made by Wagstaff. It's hard to work with only "1275", and I'm pretty sure the correct "plus something" would make this rotary piano puzzle clear. keats95
So I’m back to thinking that one half of the clue is meant to be the notes and the second half is meant to indicate the spacing between them with the most likely culprit being the 643 note. 1|2|7|5 would become 1 (go up 6 spaces) 2 (go up 4 spaces + shift pitch lever down) 7 (go up 3 spaces + shift pitch lever up) 5 ^ This didn’t do anything when I put it in but just an example of what I’m thinking. user1464576869
The reason I was asking about the solution to the potions is because I'm kinda wondering if they didn't somehow reveal something we ought to use in combination with the notes. Was it really only the numbers ON the potions that was stated as irrelevant or is the the entire alchemy table altogether? What if the ingredient values themselves for each potion are supposed to mean something other than to act as an obstacle to fit within the IV requirements to discover them? 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168280-new-arg-link/page/70/#findComment-1849167 Share on other sites

This is very much my thoughts, so I've been reflecting on this: I don't see anything saying the ingredients can't be a part of the music door solution, only the potion times and the complete solution of the potion puzzles can't be. The word "parallel" is tough because it can either mean: A: The door and the potions are two completely separate puzzles that never intersect. Their only commonality is that the become available for solving after opening the hatch. B: The parallel puzzles are like parallel stories; two separate narratives linked by a shared character, event, or theme. Bumber64
Given the recent "mnemonic aid" hint, there's approximately zero chance it involves alchemy. Those results were unknown to Wagstaff until recently. There's also a somewhat lowered chance that Witherstone's deposit amount is relevant. (If Witherstone has been insistent that this amount be paid back, then maybe it's important to Wagstaff. We know Maxwell got threatening letters.) It's still four digits. Wagstaff's whistling and 643 are reminders provided by Wagstaff himself. High probability. (Wagstaff isn't going to reuse the hatch code for the door right behind it. We're done with that.) The bank note's date could be important to Wagstaff. The year's been obscured, but 08/10 (American) would be the presumed anniversary for the funding of his factory. (We're told we already figured out the parts, but IDK what's been discussed on Discord. The hint not grouping in twos works against this one.) LavenderLillie
An idea I've had but haven't quite interpreted how to investigate: The bottom of the Buckeye Banking slip has the numbers that we know are most likely important, being 1|2|7|5-- but also has the names before them which can read like so; With 6/G |1|2|7|5| For (4) Tu (2) The fact that the start of each name is like/contains a number, we have a 643 note (and 127542 is 6 potential notes), and we know this note is likely important feels like too much of a lead to ignore. Bumber64
If we ignore the "G", 4/2 is a musical time signature. 4 beats per measure, half notes receive one beat. I'm not sure a "half note" has any meaning in this puzzle, however. Would we need to insert blanks or repeats so the timing on playback is correct? I think these are fair assessments but there are even more wrinkles to this. If the deposit slip is a mnemonic aid, why is it wadded up like trash? If 643 is an aid, why does he bring the uncomplicated bush note but leave the super encrypted 643 note behind? How does Wagstaff need notes for bushes and hatch, but leaves the alchemy book behind? The inner machinations of his mind are an enigma to me. Super genius but can't find the hatch on his own. There is also the possibility that we are reading too much into Nome's words considering he can't give unsanctioned hints. Tytush
Hi everyone! I've been hooked to the puzzle when I realized of it's existence 1 weak ago. Since then I've been stuck on the same piano-bank-phone puzzle. I started reading a lot of posts so far and dismissed a few clues that I tought were useless becouse of they never matched the amount of notes that I think are needed on the puzzle (8-10-19 for the date) Then, with recent clues regarding mnemonics, I got back to them. Wagstaff's singing sound makes 4 notes: F#, E, C#, C#. These notes can be written on the pianophone as: 7-5-2-2 When playing the bill clue: 1275X Adding them, they make 127522 which make 6 numbers / tones. C, C#, F#, E, C#, C#. I personally don't think the 643 Clue is related to this puzzle, but, hey maybe this can help someone trying to make chords of 6 digits. Now I'm going back to my shadow. Cheers! user1464576869
All I ever really do is speculate on what others have found and presented publicly in the threads. I don't think I solved anything on my own. It does feel like someone somewhere ought to be sitting on all the clues and the greater context in which they connect, but has decided to suddenly retire and take that knowledge with them. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168280-new-arg-link/page/70/#findComment-1849264 Share on other sites

I've never contributed a solution to any Don't Starve puzzle. It is like being in an escape room where nothing I do pans out but everyone else is zipping around solving things around me. I just try my best and enjoy myself. I know the devs make this stuff for us to have fun and they look forward to the memes, so I share my thoughts and what makes me laugh.
