ok so luner-inside-ring world is something that is intensely rare but possible but a default-full-ring world? THAT i have never once seen in the many dozens of hours and hundreds of worlds i have rolled for over the years

huh.... what the hell? ill try generating the seed on my own later, maybe i mistyped it again? im more than positive i have no mods that would **** something up

well do know that each computer generates the same seeds slightly different, if there is 0 variance between computers it wont be quite identical just very closely related and if there are things that change things in a bespoke way on either computer then the differences will be bigger and more pronounced. something as innocuous as a retrofit or a medium-sized set-piece can change a shoreline which can change an adjacent biome which can re-order several other biomes which can do all sorts of things

now, zipping the world would be a good way to get an exact copy no-issues

no the seeds do always get generated same way and this post is wholly wrong, retrofits don't affect seeds, seeds are set on worldgen, however worldgen changes in updates do make it so seeds from previous updates get generated entirely differently, though i'm pretty sure they haven't changed surface worldgen since this post was made, so unless the world was generated pre whirlpool update idk, could try double checking if there were any worldgen mods and if any worldgen settings were non default (e.g. starting resources, the thing that controls twiggy trees, saplings, geckos, grass and normal and juicy berries)

well, i was going to pull up the post from a few years back that directly said this but while i was looking through i saw a game update from last year where they fixed it so new generations of a world seed would no longer deviate from the original seed so that's on me for not being up to date; i rescind that part. i do stand by the rest of my statement though. also please understand that when i say a retrofit or set piece can change things i do not mean it changes the literal numbers of the original world's seed it simply alters the existing world and a new generation of the same seed will, like you said, be different or deviated due to the new added tasks changing how the computer executes on the code or no longer being part of the world since it was not part of the native tasks executed making the two same-seed worlds different. we are talking about the same thing we are just saying it slightly differently

Triple tusk is a biome and so if you're forcing entire biomes to generate you are dramatically changing world generation and going to get completely different results than the normal game gives.
