Don't Starve inconsistencies

Recommended Posts

Just some fun inconsistencies I've noticed when it comes to new and old official promo/trailer stuff

1. Wilson arms/hands (Hairy arm gang)

3. Warly's skin color (Not as often since added to dst but still changes compared to his in-game sprite)

That's s'all I got, mostly just the ones that I enjoy looking for when new stuff come out for the characters

Would love to know anymore that people find or that I failed to notice no matter how miniscule

Wilson got hairy hands after his reign on the Nightmare Throne though, so it’s not an inconsistency. The hair is an anomaly from the Nightmare Fuel

Oh I know, this is mostly just whenever they forget stuff on a character, sometimes they forget to make his arms fully blacked out in stuff

Not the same as the things you pointed out, but the explosion from bright bombs can damage nightmare creatures, but Winona's lunar strike catapult cannot.

Another inconsistent thing is which shadows are attackable by minions. Shadow pieces, and ink blights are attackable by everything, but the shadow rift ones aren't despite (I believe) the bombs they drop being able to hurt minions.

I'd count it, always fun learning about neat lil stuff like this

Pretty much every instance of Maxwell; There's full shadow suit, shadow coat with black pants, short sleeves shirt;

I just really want the game outfit be close to the latest version of the outfit. Right now it looks like Wilson with a weird suit t-shirt someone would wear to lazily cosplay as maxwell :wilson_cry:

I mean there is such a thing as different lighting circumstances, after all, most people are going to look different when split between being under the spotlight/under natural light.
You can have a relatively consistent skin tone and still look different under different circumstances...

One off artworks inconsistency isn't all going to be indecisiveness, some of the variance can be explained by the natural consequence of rendering different scenes.
(After all people don't argue that winowna and wilson are purple because a lot of the art has various color hues to its shadows...)

Wilson's shading is just different artistic interpretations, you could put literally everything from different cinematics as inconsistencies there. Even in the pictures you posted you can see several other changes, like him having a thick papery outline in some pictures but not others. Willow is just pulling her sleeves up, you can see they're scrunched. I don't know if Warly's skin is different artstyles or them actually changing it.
