Why don't bishops deal electrical damage?

Recommended Posts

Ayy, I'm all for making DST easier (not rlly) but I believe that bishops should be able to deal electrical damage since their attacks clearly show them shooting bolts or something. Only the lords of the constant knows we don't have enough mobs that deal electric damage.

They operate on nightmare fuel not electricity afaik. But maybe some lore gosu can tell you more.

Everything was infected by fuel or made by Maxwell and Charlie, thus fuel. Only some are the exception like saladmanders, carrats, ecc...which are infected by lunar glass. So no, electric damage is 100% correct. It's like saying fire hounds and Dragonfly shouldn't have fire damage since they were created by fuel.

Also bishops do not have electric damage since then, because...updates. No really, that's the reason. It's how Klei does things. Have new idea, get creative, implement in the game, I'm bored now, doesn't elaborate further, proceed with the new thing. The same reason they drop purple gems and not yellow ones, because yellow ones were not introduced in the base game and it irks me so mucchhh, grrrrrr.

There is no difference between electricity made from clouds, electricity made from coal, electricity made from nightmare fuel, or electricity made from biological creatures.

I mean electrical wiring and stuffs in the ancients machinery (You can get some by hammering psudeoscience stations,) the moon storms have electrical hazards, etc etc.

Planar elements does not mean not electricity, it might be possible to create voltage via shadow manipulation.
Its entirely reasonable to say the iterative design of the games likely resulted in somethings we might call inconsistencies.

I want more electeic mobs. They are interesting.

Add eels.

I was thinking a waterlogged expansion with more plant types would be nice, cause waterlogged areas are cool but single note.

Say you had surface shell deposits, sea reeds, electric eel dens, and a shrubby area where foliage and other junk is available, and a few small sandy landmasses.
Make it a marsh+coral reefs tropical paradise zone.

Yes please

fix torch stunlock too

Thats more a funny quirk of them being half cloth rather than anything.

Ranged enemies having severe weaknesses makes sense given we have only four characters that could be remotely argued to have ranged oriented powers of any kind, and only one that's actually oriented at ranged combat.

charged volt goat pretty sure, they even do it when you hit them.

Electric damage is terrifying.

Volt goats, moslings, goose eggs, thunderbirds, and jellyfish. The only reason players don't get wet in the same way mobs do is because DST changed how mob wetness works to prevent server lag. They get wet in the exact same way in DSA.
