If you could update what a survivor enterss the constant with what would you do?

This also includes being able to remove something they start with. However ideally if you do add something make it something loosely related to the character and not something that would prevent the character from seeking the items out.

Walter should enter with some monster meat (OR Woby Snacks if Klei adds it), so you can start with Big Woby from day 1 to explore.

I dont think it would be something game-breaking since other characters do have speed boost really early (Woodie can craft a cane day 1, Wortox can spam tps, Wolfgang has the 10% faster perk).

Also In large multiplayer worlds it can take quite a couple days before you find a spider nest, in some worlds forest and spider rocky biomes can spawn pretty far away from portal, and some people destroy the nests at lvl 1 for the easy silk

Warly starts with his chef pouch like in Shipwrecked. 

Alternatively (or additionally), his two potatoes and one garlic are changed to four potato seeds and four garlic seeds.

I think the idea is that he can choose to make either a creamy potato puree or a pair of fancy spiraled tubers. That's what I usually use them for, at least. I like the seed bag idea, though. Maybe in his skill tree you could choose which seeds you start with so there's some personalization aspect about it.

I like that he doesn't start with something to bloom. It's fun to try to start blooming as quickly as you can, improvising the way you do it based on the situation. A rotten fish is often an easy way to do it.

Honestly, I’m looking at these characters as continuing their adventures of Solo DS, so any and all previous knowledge they earned during that first chapter of the game: should be already known knowledge in DST.

Wilson has canionically dethroned Maxwell after enduring everything Maxwell could throw at him, yet the only thing Wilson can throw is a useless torch.

I’d let these characters spawn out the starting portal with a few items they learned along the way from their last adventure.

For example: Wilson’s already been through heck and back in Shipwrecked, so the scientist should certainly know to at least spawn with boat patches.

Or maybe even a fully crafted ready to use science machine?

The only LORE reason I can explain why he doesn’t, is that when Charlie took over she stripped everyone of all their knowledge or acquired items.

But that lore doesn’t make sense once you got characters spawning with Bernie from the gate or whatever.

Honestly, the 3 starter time pieces with Wanda might be a little too strong. Using the celestial portal, you can create 2x marble, 4x time pieces (32 thul frags worth), and a red gem per moon rock idol. I find this is the best way to mass produce time pieces and maybe it would be better to have to spend actual frags on them instead.

This line of thinking caused me to come up with a neat mini challenge: survive in a world starting with nothing as Wanda. You would be on the clock to find a variety of resources before you could craft your first ageless watch including visiting either the archives or the ruins underground. If you don't take any damage you would have exactly 28 minutes to accomplish it all.
