What are some things you wish were added/changed to a skilltree?

For example wolfgang I can think of skilltree abilities off the top of my head that would make him so much fun to play with and useful

- Ability to throw heavy things. This could be used to place knobbly nuts in water without pinchin or maybe allow him to fit knobblies in tight spaces.

- Ability to do a ground slam aoe at the cost of some mightiness. Sorta like forge, hell they could probably reuse that animation

- Ability to lift immoveable objects. Like lifting pigking to a different location or ripping a obelisk out the ground. (this skill is a bit more "experimental" lol)

- Remove the mighty gym, the mighty gym perks, the icebell and firebell, they are very rarely used and the firebell is a major firehazard.

I wish klei would get some people that actually enjoy playing the game and know what some characters need and what the game needs.

They should make Woodie's quick picker skills base kit on every survivor and replace them with something else. They dont actually save all that much time, but they are a huge improvement to gamefeel and reduce the tedium of the early game.

Redo the wigfrid skill tree. I'm not sure this post will be locked. Is the developer who created her a senior manager? It's locked every time someone mentions it.

tbh i think wig is fine, some part need buff but the overall idea is ok, and i like the idea of a character having a "sub class"

I wish Wilson's skill tree didn't turned him into a portable crafting station and wish that it actually gave us some gameplay value.

Same for Wolfgangs skill tree. I wish he got more unique abilities related to his strenght instead of just getting gazilion more damage.

There is nothing interesting about pressing a single button and getting your stats boosted and both of their skill trees are filled with those kind of unfun skills.

Now see, the issue with Wolfgang is that he already has quite a lot of perks regarding mightiness, and he's already a very well recieved character so, where's the line drawn of no longer giving him more things than he already needs. That's what Klei's mindset was at when they created his skill tree. There was generally no point giving him more because his kit is already good and filled up with mini perks that might as well have been part of his tree. But there's no point having to remove said perks just to make it a choice in the skill tree instead. it feels... wrong, to take something away from them. Sure they did give him new things and the idea was that it was just some smaller things to play with without being generally powerful. Planar buffs was an added demand so that was going to happen anyway. And i generally don't think the best option to make him interesting is to just give him more.

Here's a list of what i would do.

The thermbell. Out of all the dumbells, this is the most useless one. But i also think this was supposed to be a joke item due to the pun of "warming up" as the characters like to mention. But what if it did exactly that. Using the thermbel to workout makes it heat up, because y'know your using it to warm up.

If we look at Wolfgang's history, downsides has never really been generally part of this man. Not something detrimental that is.
DS: he had to keep on eating to gain his full potential, he starved faster, and being wimpy was considered his weak spot.
DST: used to be the same, until his rework, his faster hunger drain was less of a detrimental towards himself and more so towards his teammates, so much so it created memes of him eating the fridge thus why it was removed. Him working out is essentially the same, if you don't work out, you get weak = if you don't eat, you get weak. But now with the extra effect of the mighty meter being tied to the hunger meter and how strong of an effect this creates losing calories.

But another side of Wolfgang that hasn't really been expanded upon is his frail self that hides within all those muscles. It's mainly a quirk in his character rather than being part of gameplay. Yes, he does lose more sanity and it multiplies with each monster on-screen but this really doesn't change anything, He already does an excessive amount of dmg so his sanity issue does not hold him back what so ever. And i think this is what Wolfgang really lacks. There's a ying, but there is no yang. No balance. And i think this is what he lacks, not in his skill tree but in his basekit.

So here's my propotion. Shadow creatures is now a much more cautious enemy to Wolfgang. his insanity threshold is higher, aking to Wx's wetness.
Either A: getting hit by shadow creatures causes his mightiness to fall, or B, they do more dmg. Now this doesn't sound so bad on the surface, but things might get interesting down in the caves and with the later shadows.
OR C: Although this one is more elaborate, getting hit by monsters only can cause Wolfgang to go into a panicked scared state, causing his sanity to be shrouded in darkness (visually) and makes his attacks weaker and or causes shadow creatures to appear at any moment no matter the sanity for a short time.

A Wurt skill tree rework that focus on create a tribe/hamlet, its really weird that most of her stuff is focused on fighting like i totally understand the lunar and shadow skills but overall most stuff should be focused on expanding merm civilization and culture

Her goal is even in the Lore!

I don't agree. I think what K is doing is a piece. We should add more practical ballads and ways to get inspiration, such as putting shells on the body will increase inspiration. Combat is also a piece of ****, but the material of the furnace has been reused.

Especially now that Wendy's DPS is much higher than her?

Change Skill trees so they aren't reworks but instead personal buffs to already existing skills.

Winona's middle line is practically a perfect example of this. (barring the controller abilities)

Willow the the antithesis of this.

Wigfrid is 50/50

Wolfgang is 90% this.

so on so on.

Also lock the insight and unlock conditions to a per world basis, change how insight is gained, and (personal preference, this one I can fully understand people disagree with me here) do not allow respecing via Celestial Portal.
