Wendy = Wes? Strange Balance.

(Ofc Wes player have higher skill than me)

 

I want to know how you think about this comparison. it makes something weird. I started change my mind on some topic.

 

 

Now I have no idea is Shadow Abi strong, or Beefalo strong, or Wendy strong.

Something I could confirm are:

1. The Shadow Saddle is designed as post-rift gear, but it perform worse for post-rift (knockdown), it is just other strong item for pre-rift. I think this design is a bit weird.

2. The Cursed Vex, seems trapped into a same situation like the Shadow Abi before - it is lack of planar damage, but overpowered for pre-rift battles. Have to say the elixir is designed as a post-rift item as well (I know you could collect some pure horror pre-rift, but that is too little)

3. Wendy + Abi, they seems trapped in a disadvantige - the more you have to manage Abi, the more damage you lose. OFC for the result Wendy + Abi would must dealt more damage than Wendy, but this problem is exist.

 

I personally think Shadow Saddle and Cursed Vex need some adjustment for making them become weaker for pre-rift, but become stronger for post-rift.

And Abi need survival enhancement for lesser management. But I haven't use Player Tag for the battle, so I guess this topic need no discussion in this scenario. We already have enough for it including some good idea for compromise.

This even further proves that there's no need for Blessed Sisturn III.  It took Wes 1:30 seconds while it took Wendy w/ Blessed Sisturn III 1:20 seconds. Unless Klei makes Abigail's vex affect planar damage, keeping Abigail alive against Armored Bearger is so inconsequential that it only makes a 10s difference.

Is there a reason you arent using shadow abigail if this is for demonstration purposes? That deals up to 40 additional planar dps.

The shadow super potion too.

Because when I made this video, I was trying to demonstrate how easy it is to keep Abigail alive rather than how quickly she kills Bearger.

Yeah the saddle is kinda awkward for Wendy against planar creatures

because her vex gets crushed by planar defense and there's no ramping like for scythe ;-;

Feels bad especially that having strong ornery beef is her thing!

The argument was that Blessed Sisturn eliminated Wendy's weakness. If there's no reason to eliminate a character's weakness then it should not be done.  This has been conveyed to you in basically every thread we've interacted in.

I'm not sure what it has to do with OPs post?
They say that the saddle is underperforming and comparable with Wes's performance which's a fair point
because Wendy is supposed to be good on Ornery beef

Like imagine a scenario where Wendy with war saddle barely outpaces the mime
this is OPs problem

I have no interest to do Wes challenge since I already did this countless times by using Wendy lol.

To fight a giant worm without feeding any items is far interesting than fight a lunar bearger.

This was a good point so I retried the fight with the super potion and murder curse + animation canceling, but without Blessed Sisturn III. It dropped to about a 1:03. Almost 30 seconds difference which is pretty significant, however as shown here, Blessed Sisturn III is not needed and neither is Abigail considering Wes beats it in 1:30.

yeah, armored bearger fighting is more hard for you than kill a giant worm without healing and feeding items. your logic is pretty smart.

This reminds me of the way that when Jason was being attacked, this posted "Wortox's and Walter's skill trees are so well designed" as just a veiled jab at the Wendy devs. Day by day, we become more and more of what we hated.
