If your bats are not producing enough guano, you can feed any kind of seeds to a caged bird and they will poop out mini guanos

I think it's not 100% chance though? Also kind of slow.

You can use a cannon and fish bait at a malbatross shoal or anywhere to kill all the fish in one or a few more hits. Also fish bait can spawn fish schools.

I discovered this from a beard video I think, not sure if many people know this or not but eating glommer goop as Walter causes him to tell a story about it. I think it does but I haven’t tried it in a while.

Walter does not care for fashion, with the exception of belt of hunger and thule suit, which gives sanity even on Walter

(any items with passive sanity that are NOT clothes work on walter)

happy belt of hunger afk-ing for those walter insight points

Is that because cooked carrots have a shorter spoil time? I assume cooking transfers as a percent, but the crock uses the equivalent time to reach that spoil state, which would be shorter?

Whenever you cook (over fire or crockpot) the product will always be fresher than its ingredients. Half of the missing freshness is restored (in case of the crockpot an average freshness of all ingriedents is used to calculate whats msising). So for example if u have carrot with 20% freshness, after cooking it on fire it will end up being a 60% freshness (20% carrot is "missing" 80% freshness, half of it is added back, 20 + (80/2) = 20 + 40 = 60 ).
This means that no matter how spoiled things are you will always get a green item with minimum of 50% freshness

If you cook a dish in a crock pot using some ingredients that lack any freshness value (i.e. Twigs) do they count as 100% fresh when calculating the freshness of the resulting dish or are they excluded?

they dont

they count as blank, so if you cook a full freshness dragon fruit and 3 twigs, it'll come out as full freshess, but if you try to cook a spoiled dragon fruit and 3 twigs, it'll come out as stale or near spoiling. Uncooked tallbird eggs are always at full freshness tho

They're excluded, only the items with freshness are counted

they never come out as stale, anything you cook comes out always as green with minimum freshness of 50%

You can use Wortox, Lazy Explorer, Shadow Woby to teleport in that circle spot but if you are standing for too long the dark magic will push you away! I Think this is nice in case you missclicked lazy explorer there so the game will save you from softlock

Which is strange considering washing up on islands still gets you softlocked if you don't have the crafts

If you want to kill a pig (most prominently at high ping) but it keeps backing away from you and saying "THAT MY SPACE", then you can click food on it to make it interested and force attack just before you'd feed the pig.

Keep in mind that due to some oversights, this doesn't work with predictive lag compensation. A bunch of entities have "someone wants to trade with me/give me an item" behavior which makes them stop and face that someone, but it doesn't work with client prediction because the server will only buffer the action right before starting it, rather than when walking towards the entity.

Not my idea, it came from Eldrin7 on reddit, but it's too good not to share.

Wortox and shadow Wendy have insane synergy as long as you have a killer bee field - Wortox can use his Knabsack to easily catch a bunch of bees at the same time, which shadow Wendy can then murder for some insane extra damage. No need to mess around resurrecting butterflies, just blend everything with +25 planar damage.

The real synergy is simpler:

  1. Wortox/Wendy can kill many spiders for silk
  2. Wortox can catch many bees with many Knabsacks multicatch
  3. Shadow Abigail has easy murder fodder

Killing spiders/bees is easily done with a solo Wortox due to soul bouncing, you don't need Wendy help.

Well I have some naughty Wortox tips now.

1. Ignore meat drops from mobs. This way you would save the inventory slots for smth useful. The only meat you need is big meat for hambat. Eat souls to restore the hunger.

2. You don't need knabsack as a weapon really, so souljar nonsense is skippable. Knabsac craft, hovever, is very useful. Followin this to save 3 skill points and still get a lot of souls:

image.png.85d6b8d3eb4b2a82533672c74a5c8b91.png

  • with any weapon, kill spiders and collect all spider glands and silk you can find. Also collect rocks on the way.
  • when you have 20 souls and silk - craft knabsack - having 3-4 is pretty good. Note it's not your weapon.
  • now find bees/killer bees. Use knabsacks to fill your inventory with different kinds of bees - so knabsack is you bee harvesing tool, and bees are your soul jars which you can put into backpack if you want.
  • when you kill bees now for souls, you'll receive a lot of stingers. Tons of it. Burn it to ashes.
  • now with spider glands + stingers + rocks just learn the recepy for healing salves.

So you have a great sinergy really - you could use it before but with normal net it was harder to catch bees, so it wasn't that good, but with knabsack I think that's Wortox meta. He can massproduce healing salves with ease, + have tons of souls, and use normal weapons until shadow reaper unlocked; no need for food officially. I'm not a speedrunner but with this strat I've killed DF day 8 solo (hambat + teleports + football helmet), which I think is pretty fast start.

Also using knabsack to catch bees instead of a weapon means Wortox can utilize bee mines a lot, but I haven't tested it yet.

And Walter (even before the update):

1. Walter can clear tentacles from safe range. Early game I find it even more beneficial then hunting spiders - 2 monster meats per kill + possibly a weapon, and more team appreciation.
