cropo Posted September 15, 2024 Share Posted September 15, 2024 Ban @NPCMaxwell because this one time I was at the store and was considering what I would like to buy but then I thought of playing Don't Starve; I had remembered I haven't really tried Maxwell at the time so I thought maybe I should give him a go. When purchasing my drink, the cashier who was a friend of mine asked if there would be anything else and I asked him if he knew of a game called "Don't Starve Together". The cashier who shall be named Bob replied "No, I don't play games because I'm always busy.". I started explaining to him that the game was about a group of survivors who were trapped by a guy named Maxwell on a dangerous island and were forced to fend for their lives, Bob asked me why this "Maxwell" would do such a thing and I told him that he mostly did it for laughs and he didn't have much money back then so he became greedy and ambitious because of a magical book he found. Bob told me that he himself was poor and really struggling with money, but he's not going around using shadow books to maroon people on dangerous islands and then came to the conclusion that this "Maxwell" person is a jerk. I paused for a moment and thought about it...yeah, he kinda is a jerk; he had no right to be kidnapping helpless people like that and taking advantage of them. I then decided to not play Maxwell that night and that Maxwell was a terrible person.
