About patched Wardrobe bug...

Recommended Posts

There was a glitch back then with wardrobe, which allowed you to reskin your character to look like another character, through console command.
For example, you could interact with Wardrobe as Maxwell, and after writing specific console command, you would look like Wilson.

Do you think this bug should "return", as in implemented officially through feature/structure? What are your thoughts on it overall?
I personally miss that, it was very funny to mess around with :P

I thought it was hillarious because it several times made me try out other character's gameplay mechanics while pretending it was Wilson or Maxwell :P

Sadly it is indeed more or less just a silly fun randomness that wouldn't have a real use besides making the ones who used to play around with the bug feel nostalgia.......I know one could technically use the custom character index mod to just give those other characters abilities to your character, but it wouldn't just feel the same as just "being" the other character while still looking like your favourite character. It just had this special kind of funnies to it, seeing the "wrong" character doing the animations of someone else.

Was a fun glitch I assume it was patched when maxwell book got patched from other people spawning a minion

that bug got patched before maxwell rework

they would come in as one character, they'd pick a skin to match an existing player, they'd grief and they'd hope people would get confused and ban the wrong person or everyone relevant to it would argue and get riled up about who did what since people didnt always look at names and would just remember faces as people pass by base

That sounds terrible, though. At least a good reason to not have this bug anymore....seems like one can have nothing fun without some idiots destroying it.

in fairness i only saw it happen twice in the whole time it existed but yeah, others would complain about it happening sometimes and i am sure anyone it happened to would be super stressed about it after

It's funny briefly but the practical application of this bug was moreso confusing for players and pulled people away from actually playing the game and just fishing for reactions from others. Leave the cosmetics to the actual functions of the wardrobe.
