Will official endless servers be brought back someday?

We have been without endless servers since octuber 2022, ScottHansen said in that month:

"The official dedicated endless servers is a known issue that is being worked on."

Does someone have an update? Since updates now wont be monthly, this is quite a good time to bring them back (if klei didnt change their mind about it)

haha just you and me remember the klei endless servers.

Don't think klei is going to bring them back because I complained too much about griefers and the servers crashing which sucks but it is what it is. Main thing I wanted was support from klei to prevent servers from going to day 1 after crashing. I've made countless posts asking when the endless servers will be back and the decision seems firm to just ignore me unfortunately.

Perhaps maintaining an endless server is too difficult. Crash. Burning base bad people and other issues

On playstation there are currently official endless servers for the first time in years and no one plays them after the first session ends. People don't wanna start in the middle of spring or summer with absolutely nothing. The world just sits at spring/summer until it randomly resets to day 1 and then it has another strong play session that usually ends in mid winter or spring. Honestly it sucks and just takes up a server spot.

Xbox doesn’t have official servers, Xbox has NEVER had official servers, and even though the game once had The Forge on the title screen, because said servers did not Exist… “The Forge” Was never playable on Xbox.

It’s kinda funny & sad at the same time.

But if Xbox version has survived this long without Klei servers then PlayStation probably could too (and it’ll save Klei money not having to run them!)

No official servers would suck, I'm glad we get them but the idea to have one be endless was dumb. Unfortunately it's a dumb idea people here seem to cry for. Wouldn't be so bad if there were more server slots but since klei took us down from 4 servers per region to 3 it hurts especially bad. The other 2 servers are hard to get into and always have 6 players at peak times and the endless server sits at 0.

I think it was a fine idea to try out, but in practice endless officials suck. Vast majority of the time it has no players and the survival servers are maxed out.

when there were endless servers, I and other few people would start playing in any season.

I remember once I started playing in a world with 200 days, and in another I started in the first summer and we played there until day +800 (with regulars and new people)

And in my playthroughs, the peak of players were always spring and autumn, the first day of autumn/spring was always funny, the server usually went from 1-2 people (usually regulars) to like 8 or more in a spam of minutes.

All official servers should shut down because klei isn't getting anything out of it and they are only doing it because of the goodwill they are trying to build up but it actually makes more people negative on the forums for the lack of moderation so they can't win.

There are so many endless servers in the community that I play on and a lot of them are empty, there are literally over 100 servers hosted whether it be survival, forge, endless and with random mods that people vote or decide and yet a lot of these servers are not popular, why is that the case? There are so many servers hosted by players that you can even add on steam and discuss about mods and yet so many players only play on klei official servers where griefing is always going to happen since no one gets banned.

You may like playing there but it is not in klei's best interest to keep them.

There are hundreds of servers without mods with default settings that you can also play on instead of on klei servers like so many other people. There is at least a few for every single region.

Because so many people are negative as there are so many forum discussions about klei pubs and I don't really blame them when griefers can do whatever they want.

I don't know what region and they are empty because so many people want to play on klei pubs or private servers. I believe there is more but 2-4 servers is enough, especially If they are empty do you need more? I don't think you have that many options with klei official server either If you compare ping.

On playstation at least, griefing rarely happens. Unless you're a moron and consider a new player not knowing how to play the game or being inconsiderate griefing.
