Frosty_Mentos
A long while ago there was a cooking/farming mod that was made to make food more interesting to make while nerfing (maybe unnecessarily) on some foods that are commonly used to fill hunger up. The premise of the mod was great for that getting things like farming wheat and cultivating toiling at the farms would be more worth it and grant a lot more food security overtime. There were things like breads that had long shelf lives, new foods making meatballs less common but adding interesting variety like some of the Gorge recipes. If one structure I'd add it would be Oven from Gorge to bake bigger and greater goods in risk of burning them and if they fill better than most foods I'd enjoy cooking more. I think we need a source of wheat we could grow cultivate and have plenty of. We got tools like lategame scythe to gather them after all, would be fun to be a wheat farmer and have a good source of flour and bread as alternative way to survive. Farming crops is fun and all, but we can't do much baking to do and it's a bummer imo. Making pizza, fine deserts and moving some of current recipes into a new cooking structure to award better benefits for survival. If people can just make a brick oven outside on their own, I'm sure survivors could do so too, through innovation and engineering. They last for 40 days, stack up to 40, can be stored in tackle box. It the best balancing for long self life food. It can last long, easy to farm, have plenty of, but it restore less hunger and health. All we need now is a way to grind seeds, and then turn them into bread. chirsg
Yes to everything. I cannot stress how much contempt I have for the waste of art and animation there is when abandoning Gorge. Quite frankly, it's a tragedy. The assets are there. The assets are in the room with us right now. Why not just add them in? Even wheat. How LIVELY would the savannah look if there was wheat? 17 hours ago, Frosty_Mentos said: If people can just make a brick oven outside on their own, I'm sure survivors could do so too, through innovation and engineering. If you left random humans to their own devices, they would come up with most anything. We have a character who can make catapults and basically a rhoomba when each character has not canonically seen sliced bread. If they're smart enough to do that, surely they are smart enough to figure out a hot box to put dough in. not to mention shelter.
