Scrappy Werepig's loot is very bad

Recommended Posts

Hello Forums,

Scrappy Werepig's loot is extremely underwhelming, and it's not worth fighting him. It's more rewarding to leave Nightmare Werepig spawned in the caves so that wagstaff always brings the workshop + fences to the scrap pile. The workshop is worth ~5-6 scrap, and the fences another ~10-12 scrap. These can be farmed every few days. Scrappy Werepig on the other hand only drops 4 scrap, and a hat that gives another 2 if deconstructed (not worth the 1/4 of a green gem).

About the only reason to kill Scrappy Werepig is to allow Nightmare Werepig to respawn in the caves to farm dreadstone.

The mutually exclusive spawn behavior of these two bosses has been disappointing. I used to enjoy killing Nightmare Werepig, but now the incentive is to just never engage either boss due to the demands for scrap and relatively weak loot of the Scrappy Werepig.

Scrappy Werepig's scrap reward needs to be buffed pretty significantly to make it worth fighting him. A world setting that just lets these two bosses spawn simultaneously would also be very nice so that we can fight the ones we please and not be forced into fighting the other.

I'd also argue that the nightmare werepig's reward isn't quite worth it either now that it requires fighting the other boss. Finding just one green gem is the same reward as fighting nightmare werepig.

This problem is only gonna get worse since it seems like you're gonna fight him for third time (Luner werepig is gonna be a thing hold me on this!)

I can’t believe Werepig World Tour is becoming a thing eventually.

Agreed. The fight itself is more than alright but it feels off having Horizon Expandinators constantly piling up. Dreadstone is resource you can stock and hoard but the aforementioned utility item doesn't have any use case en masse. One is basically more than enough and each fight you get another.

I understand what Klei was trying to do by making 2 versions of the fight, one pre-rift and one post, but in the end there's already so little to him that the early fight is completely worthless.

Plus for me he got bugged and I couldn't fight him more than once as he never respawned.
