Why half of Winona skill tree is about catapults?

I'm someone who doesn't care about the catapults of Winona, they are fine for me, but in Winona skill tree there are like 12 of 26 skill points about them, I can't even ignore them because I need to choose some of them to even take the ones that are not related to catapults. Why Winona's upgrades are not divided in categories like most of the skill trees? Like Catapults, Generators, New Tools, Affinity...

For me, looks like Winona is still stuck as the catapults lady.

So? Is bad to have choices or better skill trees with less repeated bland basic stat perks?

i think the annoying part of her skill tree is how many skills that are like

skill > do skill better

like idk i feel some of those could've been combined together and she could've had some more substantial additions that do more for her on the survival/resource gathering/general gameplay side

Personally I would have preferred some more gadgets I do really enjoy what Winona got I think catapults was treated too much like how they did merms in Wurt's skill tree which is unfortunate because while that worked for merms because of how visually and mechanically satisfying the upgrades were. I don't feel like it works as well for catapults.

Though techinically even with the current tree if the skill layout was abit different people would have probably noticed the catapult thing abit less for example if they had combined some of the catapult skills but split apart the Charlie and Wagstaff skills the focus on catapults would have been less noticeable and it'd be easier for the average player to figure out what does what in Wagstaff and Charlie's seeker and founder skills.

omfg i hate swap chars everybody just swaps to winona to make 30 stacks of tape and then swaps back

They might give the tape an update so you can put it on other charactors mouth and rhey become silenced like Walter specially.

Or put it on tall bird mouth so he stoppes peaking you

But I gotta say, combat system is the worst aspect of the game. I don't think the player base is here for the combat system.
