The fast respawn is also very convenient for them basically always being available, even in multiplayer, where you might otherwise go up to 32 minutes without being able to restock. Unless you're running a full moon farm. Then its like .5 meat per day + .25 pig skin per day if that matters. idk when carrots are needed specifically except for bunnymen. I usually use kelp, cactus, or mushrooms (wormwood) for vegies. I only farm every four days. Farming every evening can get really annoying really fast with how much time it takes. Also the full moon harvests are amazing. One thing I really like about full moon pig village farming is that I'm getting a lot of absolutely fresh large meats at once. If I set up a passive bunnyman farm I'm probably getting a lot of rot and average 1/2 spoilage meats just like I get when I check in on my goat farm. To me, the passive bunnyman farm is more about getting bunnypuffs over time than meats / carrots - although sometimes you can grab them for meaty stews, gold from pk, etc without issue. Tranoze
For solo players, one only need 4~8 houses for all the needed resources, aka meat/carrot/puff, and maybe 4 more for a spider farm. For multiplayers, LAG. Most server would run at half speed if one happened to load into a mega bunny farm. All bunny, pig, spider and merm houses. From my experience around 12 houses if you want the spider farm to be completely auto farming. 12 bunnies should be able to kill the Spider Queen without much issue. 8 is enough if you don’t mind cleaning the level 3 den from time to time. Sometimes 8 bunnies can deal with Spider Queen, but it depends on how many nurse spiders the Queen spawns. So it is better to clean the den than to risk the farm breaking down. I'm not saying that bunnymen are indisputably better than pigs, I'm saying that bunnymen are better than pigs for food if you harvest them more frequently than once every 3 days, which can be done automatically with anenemys or is just useful for multiplayer since you can harvest them whenever you want instead of showing up just after someone else harvested and they're all gone for half an hour. The comment I responded to that started this off said that they sucked for food and pigs were better. Dingle
Agreeing with others above. I stopped using bunnymen after the nerf, not because the drop values of them over time were necessarily terrible, but that it's annoying to have to mass farm them every day. I much prefer the slower respawn rate of pigs. I also count pigs as giving 0.25 meat per pig per day on average, as the full moon every 20 days boosts them to about that I think. Not counting permanent full moon situations that people were discussing. It didn't seem worth it to use anenemies on Bunnymen. They're limited and I'd rather use them for autokilling Bishops in ruins resets. Though I am looking at trying Wattata's bunnyman/tallbird farm. That and they're great for bat-killing around sinkholes near the base. loonreaper
They're really niche but I find they make some of the best food farms. As Dingle said, Wattata's bunnyman/tallbird farm I use regularly (only requires two bunny hutches). And if you want a pieroggi farm nothing really beats putting like 1 bunny hutch per pond in a frog biome. Seriously, you can collet enough frog legs for 40+ pierogies in a day and a half. They're the best for efficient queen bee farming and with the latest updates they're even better (especially if you play wormwood). I also use them around cave openings because there tends to be a load lag on the console and bunnies take care of them nicely. Not sure what a buff would look like because they're already quite good as at the niche things they're good at. I don't find them hard to build at all because if you do your normal early-game rounds -- Dragonfly, twins, ruins then you accumulate a lot of green gems. Just kill Ancient Guardian and visit the statue biome in the ruins and you have enough for 1-2 deconstruction staffs and many construction amulets. 1 decon staff and 2 construction amulets = 10 hutches already. I think making them a little cheaper might work, or restoring their previous drops but making them respawn a day or 2 longer might balance it out. Curious what else people are thinking they should be used for? If anything they should make tallbirds harder to tame but permanently tame-able if people are looking to use them for combat . Antynomity
I think that bunnymen's drops need to be buffed, I think the cost of the houses is fine considering how well they swarm some bosses but ever since the nerf back in (I think) RWYS I have never, ever seen a bunnyman farm, neither on YouTube as a new upload, or on someone's world. I myself would add a decent chance (75%) of them dropping a second item and an additional 50% chance to drop a carrot, so in total you could get a single bunny puff, big meat and a carrot from one bunnyman if you roll both chances, and considering they respawn everyday I think this would make them worth it for farming (not really the problem brought up by the post but that's simply because I don't think the hutches are too expensive) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/155322-bunnymen-housing-needs-a-cost-change-raising-the-question-as-to-why-rarely-anyone-would-want-them/page/2/#findComment-1709787 Share on other sites

Frosty_Mentos
What about just buffing one man band to last a day or two instead? Reasons being: * It's annoying to pull the whole army from one to another side of the world * bunnies are best but last not for long when it comes to feeding them * One-man-band only lasts 3 minutes * One man band makes you lose a LOT of sanity when having a lot of followers Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/155322-bunnymen-housing-needs-a-cost-change-raising-the-question-as-to-why-rarely-anyone-would-want-them/page/2/#findComment-1709854 Share on other sites

KvltBear
Usually I build 2 hutches for bat sentries near my preferred sinkhole and that's it. Too huge of a time investment to set up anything else. Food is ridiculously abundant and I can get meat much easier elsewhere. I'm not building 10 hutches just to slowly passively farm one single spider nest when I can handle them fine on my own. They're much better fighters than Pigs but I never use followers anymore. Too much of a hassle with the time restrictions and food payment, plus most bosses AOE them or they just completely throw the timing off and I get hit significantly more than solo. Even hound defense is bad because I can't pick up meat and I need fire defense and then maintain bait to keep them outside 24/7. I'd rather just use a relocated beef herd. I think a more fleshed out follower system is the buff Pigs and Bunnymen need. They need something else to do that isn't walking like a zombie towards bait. A little bit of hamlet mechanics would make them much more interesting than what they are now. I mean, they're capable of building their own houses and small towns, pigs have a king, bunnies farm carrots in caves and build cobblestone, there is some intelligence there. It'd feel much better if I didn't turn them into cattle at my base and instead gave them some kind of job or role to do.
