JustAFlower Posted December 23, 2023 Share Posted December 23, 2023 I mean, there's just so much potential to get even more cool things with characters : Wilson can get a big knowledge tree where he can know and understand many things in the constant to help new players "Is it me, or things are getting cold ?" -Wilson when 4 days before Winter. Willow can upgrade Bernie with some sewing skills and other stuff. Wolfgang can have his own combat movements and maybe weapons like brass knuckles. Wigfrid can upgrade boats just like Vikings. SHIELDS ALL AROUND THE BOAT TO PROTECT AGAINST THAT CRAB. Woodie can also use some upgrades with his forms (Werebeaver can cut and craft specific things, the weremoose can use his head-branches for gardening...). Winona can basically upgrade and forge some new stuff, some sharpers equipment to destroy a lot of stuff or make a fridge with more storage slots. Walter can befriend and get new things to do with any followers (he can like get his own pig friend) or new map skills, or also upgrade Woby. Even some hunts perks. Maxwell can basically make cool shadow slaves with all this horror fuel and dark tatters we're getting. Wormwood can get so many specific plants, traps and decorations for the base or new blooming things, his flower can be an umbrella for other players, aw. Wortox can have soul manipulation and distractions towards enemies or new ways to revive someone Wendy can go through some cemetery and flowers things to upgrade her ghosts for anything and maybe possessions Warly can grow his own food and attract some creatures with flares that have specific dishes on it Webber can evolve into specific spiders or make his own base with spiders, make a giant tree you're base for water spiders ! WX-78 can upgrade and change some parts of his body (change his arm to be able to carry more items but you're a bit heavier). Wurt can literally make her own big village like in hamlet or Cult of the lamb style Wanda can change or modify some things in times for her tools to help players or herself, like, she can change the time passing in the meteor field to get, well, more meteors or withered moonrock. Wonkey and Wes are weird, but I want things to evolve them backwards Wickerbottom can also also change some stuff in her books to create who knows what (maybe some healing things too, she's smart after all) THERES JUST TOO MUCH POTENTIAAAAAL, aaannnnnnd I'm leaving this post here, what do you think? cybers2001 Posted December 23, 2023 Share Posted December 23, 2023 Yes. Characters needs baseline adjustments beyond just skill trees. As I've said in the other thread, there should not be skills that are mandatory skills in the skill tree. The problem is, character balancing is pretty much a full-time job, and the skill trees, while great in concept, is a tremendous undertaking to execute properly. They need like a fulltime team of 10 people dedicated to balance and skills if they really want it done properly. I think Klei is biting off more than they can chew. I do prefer some nice content update, you can see my post as a BIG maybe for a very very future update in like 2028.But yeah, Klei should do more content-quality updates to improve this game. Yeeeeep. I was so excited when Wilson's Refresh came because that marked the end of Character stuff. Look how wrong I was. If Klei goes back and removed all the skill trees and just implements some stuff baseline for all characters I would be happy. I am satisfied with the Wormwood skill tree but I would prefer it not exist in the first place.
