Bernie's health regen perk is currently bugged, it only regens 1HP upon spawning and then no longer heals.

You cannot consume fires from Beehives and Pighouses, Moles are fire proof????

I've noticed this too - it seems in combat the regen picks up, but once combat is over it halts again.

Willow's skill tree is perfectly balanced and absolutely not power crept in the slightest. Why would you ever think that?

That does not look remotely as strong as you think it does... :X

Embers do not disappear, at all? They just stay in the world until I despawn or leave/rejoin.

They're supposed to last half a day. At least that's what I gleaned from my code diving the other day.

sad, they could be an awesome decoration

Finally got round to properly playing with Willow's skill tree. They are a lot of fun.

Controlled burning heavily encourages the use of fire, but hopefully it is changed that the new effect only applies on willows lighter, and regular torches can be used to cause wildfires.

Extinguishing fires is an exceptionally useful mechanic.

Playing with Fire is a lot of fun, and has some inherent drawbacks with meat coming precooked, limiting its use, while loot still smoulders, meaning if you aren't able to extinguish it it'll burn regardless. Additionally, embers require the enemy to be on fire to spawn, meaning after Beta Willow can't rely on a character like Wendy or Winona to farm souls (not that she'd need to). Refueling the lighter at this point is my main use of Embers, but I finally got another insight point to get a second spell, though not sure what i'll use the insight on at present, open to recommendations.

Unfortunately none of Bernie's abilities seem particularly interesting save for burning Bernie, which is locked behind 8 stat skills. As an aside, it's currently hard to tell how much fire damage is doing so I don't know how much value it has overall without burning frenzy.

Overall is an incredibly fun soft rework, that makes playing Willow incredibly enjoyable, after considering her one of the most underwhelming characters for a long time and will be interesting to see how Winona & Walter's trees work.

P.S. I hope that insight can be toggled in World Gen, such that it's disabled, uses Global tallies or an individual record for the world, seems like it would give people options to avoid their complaints with the system.

Wigfrid's Insight is nowhere near as immediately interesting, as most are incredibly time consuming to get running: shield requires like 6 other perks? while the new helm and spear require 2 each, the battle songs take a while to craft and Beefalo taming takes a long time anyway. While her character's in a good position as is, I hope a few pieces of insight can give some more immediately exciting abilities.

it wouldn't because everyone hate having to simply wait for points, that encourages simply waiting to get stronger, especially as characters that have their main good perks locked behind skill trees, like willow, it should either always be unlocked or require doing something to get it

Hence why it should be a world gen option.

only if entirely changing the mechanic to gain points for doing things would be an option, otherwise everyone will keep global progress enabled

I personally think it should be an option in each characters compendium page for you to reset their insight so that way if someone wants to gather it again they can but if they don’t then they don’t

Am I missing something here? Are PC players just not allowed to respec skill tree points or something?? I mean I can understand that there’s a keyboard command that wipes them, but on Xbox you can reset insight by simply changing to the same character again from the upgraded florid Postern. Or did they patch that out or something??

@Mike23Uayou still can, but sometimes it takes a while before orb drops

@arubarothe fireball spell is the mini star caller and it does both.

i was talking about the embers not disappearing

@Jason sorry to quote you but any chance of changing how drops from enemies on fire works? is good to see that you added it to willow but i think enemies in general shouldn't drop ashes when death, atleast not when theh drop non burnable materials like gears, pieces of armor, gems, etc

i would love to use fire outside of willow but is always a scary thing when you might lose valuable loot

I think people are talking about resetting points to 0 not resselecting the skills

*snip*

they do not provide heat or light and they last a whole day which is already quite long, if they lasted forever you would have heat and light on tap forever because of fireball. Tbh I kinda wished they had a little suck to them like Wortox souls.
