chirsg
I acknowledge that this would be MORE overpowered for the Woodie side of this post, but for Wilson, I actually think that compounded power would be... pretty fair. For Woodie, I'd actually like it if post rift or so, he'd get specific "Mastery Idols" which gives him the mastery skill for eating them. Like, if for 3 monster meat and 2 brightshade husks, you would get one Mastered moose idol without having to invest the perk. 2 pure brilliance and 3 monster meat, you'd get Mastered Beaver Idol and 3 moongleams and 3 goose idols to make a mastered goose idol and hell, for the sake of soft balance, let them run on a spoilage timer like the OG idols. It's unrealistic to ask for it, but just in case, I'll throw it out there. I personally think it would function more for endgame QoL, but whatever. For Wilson, his transmute icky would get feather transmutation from one into the other, Like, any order of black > yellow > red > Azure all the underlined being interchangeable and azure being at the top for every craft, have 2-3 lesser glowberries to be transmuted into a glowberry and hell, just for a filler perk, have 2 berries be transmuted into juicy and 2 juicy into 1 berry. For Wilson, It's a serious discussion I'm after, for Woodie, he's already in the closest place to perfect and it's not that serious a suggestion. Just something I wish I had. Anyway, anyone reading, do you have ideas of compounded powers for Wormwood and Wolfgang? Do any wormwood mains want the petal production power back? Perhaps grass tuft crafts? For wolfgang would you want maybe TRIPLE damage?
_zwb
Skill tree rework already? Edited October 23 by _zwb
Gashzer
Been playing Wilson recently and tbh i think hes perfect right now. The torch skill tree is a massive QoL on consoles which have long loading times between shards. I still use lanterns when im in the caves but i use only torches on the surface and it works a treat. Being able to passively obtain a beefalo hat in the form of his beard that doesnt take up an equipment slot is very underrated. Transmute gems into iridescent gem is beyond awesome. The rest of the transmute skills are meh. Being able to convert pure horror and dreadstone into nightmare fuel gives wilson the best way to farm a full stack nightmare fuel by just refighting nightmare werepig which is much more fun and simple than creating shadow splumonkey or beardlord farms. The best quality about Wilson is how simple he is. He has only passive positive traits allowing you to focus 100% on the world content and not character content. I feel certain characters especially warly or wormwood players get caught up in their respective upsides/downsides like farming and cooking to an excess degree, way beyond what a team or a solo player actually needs to progress in the rest of the game. Wilson's simplicity is what makes him so good for new and older players alike. I wouldnt want to add anymore to him. Suddenly Woodie is back to being a weakling The goose mastery idol becomes unusable, the goose becomes bad without the speed buff. And why add spoilage timer on top of that?

I think that simply having glowberries and feather crafts wouldn't break wilson's simplicity. It's just a little added utility. 7 hours ago, Jakepeng99 said: Suddenly Woodie is back to being a weakling The goose mastery idol becomes unusable, the goose becomes bad without the speed buff. Spending all that for the gooses teleport, or the werebeaver slam, or moose is not near worth it.

The suggestion seemed to be keeping the mastery skills in the tree, but allowing you to use a special idol if you can't have the mastery skill for that transformation because of mastering another transformation to have the mastery of that transformation anyway without respeccing. That's exactly what I meant. It would be crazy useful.

cybers2001
Woodie should be able to craft a rumble ball that lets him switch between forms at will, including a new monster form that makes him the size of deerclops
