Make lunar hail only damage players

Recommended Posts

Glommer just dies to hail now which sucks, lunar aligned mobs are immune to hail and glommer is related to the moon, so glommer at least could be lunar aligned.

Fruit fly also has this problem too but they are not a lunar mob so something else needs to be done.

Just make it only hurt players since it causes more trouble than it is worth, i imagine this also kills grass geckos and other useful mobs who do not regen hp so this is the best solution.

This is the best solution, I just don't think developers themselves ever megabase or play the game long enough to see the impact of such changes hence we got boulders/brightshades and now hail. Boulders are fine now after we got pillars but this was player's feedback.

Some mobs don't regenerate their health at all and hail will just kill them over time and anyone who doesn't play long enough for this to happen that doesn't give you an excuse to argue against this as there are players that do and it wouldn't impact you at all if hail only dealt damage to the player.

Wouldn’t a better solution be to let mobs that don’t regenerate health, regenerate health over time? Or to make them like Catcoons so it’s virtually impossible to ever send them into complete extinction?

Catcoons used to be able to go extinct by Bearger/Deerclops/wildfires but after the Year of the Catcoon update new dens will spawn if all of the previous ones had been destroyed.

It would be about the same really, hail not damaging mobs or regen on specific creatures would be cool though them regenerating HP would be ideal, unless I am not seeing a situation this would be detrimental on.

Adding HP regen to critters will make more computations per tick in-game, and will only work on bigger mobs, like deer or koalaphant. Hail deels 30 damage wich is enoguh to one-shot a bunny or a bulbous lightbug.

Sooo, better add "hail invulnerability" to most animals. Beefalo's regen is fine, they can take a hit

It's baffling that glommer isn't lunar aligned...

If the first thing is about lag then that's already a major issue because the game doesn't handle well like, doing anything, though I fail to see how the next thing is an issue? I don't know what you'd need bunnies for and lightbugs are only on the surface because of Wormwood and you can summon those back anytime.

I'm open to additional solutions that mitigate hail rather than straight out making them not damage mobs.

I'd be cool if there were other uses for the ice crystaleyezer where if you loaded it up with a moose feather, it could stop hail in the radius.

If the devs don't intend on changing the acquisition of spark ark being more than 1 per game year, I think it's completely fair to load up the crystaleyezer with other materials.

While I'm here, we should also be able to coat dreadstone pillars with marble to make them resemble werepig columns.

As mentioned above, they can be catched, and also you can turn them from light bulbs using lunar experiment (halloween stuff)
