Farming logs for storage is pain. Chests could use big cost reduction, here's why I feel so.

None of these are efficient. Anyone can farm birds as fast as they arrive, but if you aren't Wickerbottom the speed that they arrive is incredibly slow. Even with a feather hat their spawn rate compared to how many feathers you need is atrocious.

Bruh why is it that half the people in this community care sooo much about efficiency? Like JFC the whole "UhMm, Itz NoT eFIsIENt eNOufF" its becoming annoying at this point. I feel you with the wood farming, but feathers? I may be missing something here but, how many black feathers you really need to the point of looking for max efficiency even for farming birds? Like come on.

Walter may not be "the most efficient 100% super fast quick-and-easy bird destroyer 24/7 speedrun no hit" character, but you can easily farm some crows while you are doing other things by swapping slingshot in hand, or even take advantage of the bird farming and also farm krampus. Theres also penguins that will leave black feathers on their nest each winter.

You wrote two paragraphs about it, so it seems you're included in that demographic.

Ain't about the black feathers my friend it's the azure you want to farm to mass produce blow darts for stuff like phase 3 CC on console. Goes from a nightmare to a walk in the park with spicy volt jelly and a stack and a half (Can't recall how many are actually needed but I think this is right?) of blow darts.

The only people that chest crafting cost really hurts in the long run are the mega basers.

There's not a lot of precedent for NEEDING storage when considering the survival aspect of Don't Starve, a lot of people just dump their stuff on the ground. I think reducing the cost to 2 boards is more than fair.

eh whatever. They made the marble armor and cobblestone recipes baby-mode so any more wouldn't hurt.

Do you think destroying an entire Marble Shrub field to even get close to obtaining enough Marble for a team's worth of a Night Armor sidegrade that slows you down is good design?

I've destroyed 9 marble shrubs 2 or 3 times in my world and have 3 stacks of marble just because of how much marble you get for free, I haven't even broken all the statues in the world either. If I was actually trying to farm marble I would have exponentially more. I think they're a lot easier to make than night armor, which requires both a lot of nightmare fuel which is already being consumed by dark swords & the magiluminesence, and a lot of a resource which is rare & typically immovable. Marble can easily be planted at your base with no requirement other than marble, then easily broken down with gunpowder, a giant, shadows, Wolfgang, or your hands too I guess.

I disagree, they seem more or less the same difficulty, you’re just likely to have enough marble to make a couple of starting armors. But in the long run for a primary use armor, the feel like they need about the same amount of effort, especially if you go out of your way for moon quay reeds
