Wx shadow affinity don’t need to kite because he got free weapon and armor. And able to farm stuff in base automatically. Also boosting allies dmg by 24%.

Lunar requires far more work and for most people is only really worth it in the late game.

Shadow is immediately useful starting out it boosts your collection speed or when left inactive it collects things on it's own making for various auto farms. The heart side gives a damage boost, allows you to use mimicked equipment essentially meaning you get free items at no cost while also generating resources.

Don't get me wrong at it's peak the lunar perk is powerful for combat but the shadow side's utility is strong earlier game and only gets stronger as the game goes on.

That's because shadow perk put all it effort on being low cortisol, in contrast lunar is for high cortisol sweaty player.

Shadow perk don't need to grind any material for armor and weapon by using mimic.

Lunar is grindy af that if it got lower dmg than shadow, i doubt anyone would play it anymore

thats not how it supposed to work , shadow and lunar supposed to be different n depend on playstyle and taste more than just shadow(weak) lunar(better)

 

look at willow's affinity skills for example

still shadow shouldhv been more creative and not just all abt damage that still gets out damaged by lunar , lame

It is more creative though it simply does more beyond damage you are only focusing on it's damage booster but it has various capabilities even one that may be a bug in that while fueled by shadow fuels it tricks your revival skill into thinking you have a full bar making you immortal as long as you consume fuel.

Yuppp you're fundamentally immortal. It has simply way more to offer other than making an expensive(maintenance) clone.

I literally couldn't believe my eyes when I read this lol. If that's actually an intended feature and not a bug, then what in the world was the point of all those beta adjustments up until now? w

OMG, I actually went and tested it myself... and it's true. As long as you have the Shadow Heart or Possessed Heart equipped and a supply of shadow fuel, you literally get godmode.

still the fact that having a possesd heart plugged only gives u 24% dmg is lame , i would prefer if we could give it to jimmy instead and it upgrades him , the skilltree didnt give jimmy anything

It's actually even more silly than that you don't need to go that far it works with just having nightmare fuel equipped too so technically the moment you get nightmare fuel you are immortal as long as you don't run out.

You keep saying only 24% damage boost but there are various abilities you get not just the damage boost. Shadow Atrium Tentacles that spawn loot, dark overcharge, collectors, auto mode collectors, the ability to produce mimicreeps, and the ability to use mimic'd items.

Stop ignoring other perks bruh.

Shadow wx actually do boss rush much faster than lunar just because he doesn't need to waste time grinding those material and got autocollect of basic material.
And now you are claiming free armor and auto harvester is lame rn, make me thinking if you actually know how to play shadow affinity.
Is dmg boosting ur only consideration on deciding if a character is strong or not??

thats what the skill tree offers , free armor is lame because u need possesd heart anyway to be able to dupe and when u activate rifts u dont even need to dupe , the void gear is alrdy repairable u wont need to copy , copying would be very nice only if it was available before rifts ,

 

oh wow i beat 80% of the game now i can finally dupe very useful indeed , what u gonna dupe ? non , maybe duping meme stuff but nothing realistic, after opening rifts u can just repair ur armor and weapons very easily , shadow is overhyped and overrated it sucks in reality .

 

so what if u plug the heart instead ? maybe u could get some nice buffs if u didnt like the useless dupe ? , nah just 24% and u have an annoying 4 drones that cover ur screen with annoying sounds etc

Can someone explain what are the actual benefits of:

Shadow tendrils, when I tested they only gave me some rocks and poops. I know you can place them to ruins or smthin to get better loot but it feels too much work it's not worth it anyway.

Copying equipments, you get this utility after you have rifts so copying rifts equipment is not that valuable bcz you can just repair them. I guess it is useful for star caller and moon caller staves.

But still, these perks feel very underwhelming to me.

Does anyone have any ideas of uses for these that make them more useful? I genuinely wonder.

I miswrote rifts.(called em ruins)

I'm worried that Klei won't release the beta of the next update at all, or the beta will be very short.

The full version of the update is scheduled to be released during Klei Fest. In previous years, it fell around the second week of June. 
So this year's Klei Fest will most likely start on June 11th, which is just over 3 weeks away.

We could therefore assume that Intermission would be this week, with the beta a few hours later.
BUT if that were true, Klei Ambassadors would have received information about the next twitch drop 1 week earlier. And that hasn't happened yet.
So I would rather expect Intermission to be next week.
And then we would either have a beta that lasted only 2 weeks or there would be no beta at all, because Klei decided that they wanted to release the update in the full version instead of beta first.

It's possible, but they recently mentioned that the shadow update will also be divided into parts, and it's likely that the first part will be the main final update, while the second part will bring some changes to the shadow and possibly the lunar rift.

exactly they suck , klei ran out of ideas and just gave a 4 yo to make the effects for shadow side
