A Wonkey Skill Tree but my design take

Recommended Posts

He has a max of 6 insight points, and 14 skills which is much less than other survivors. The aim here is still to make him a curse, but the skills are designed to help him with dealing with the moon quay content but with the options to fully become a Wonkey main. E.g, poop throwing to gather crustashines and birds as food. When you turn into Wonkey, you may click the insight icon in the top left to choose insight. ALSO: Players no longer drop trinkets upon death and it stays in their inventory forever like before (There is a new way to deal with the curse now in this don't worry)

Poop

Skill 1 Branch 1: Wonkey now poops every 2 days, he also poops for every two plant stuff he eats (Like were pigs but half the poop).

Skill 2 Branch 1: Wonkey can throw poo to stun criters, or deaggro and scare mobs.

Agility

Skill 3 Branch 2: Getting hurt makes Wonkey 15% faster for a breif time, and instantly goes in bipede mode when moving during it aswell.

Skill 4 Branch 2: Getting hurt also increases Wonkey's attack speed by 25% during that time.

Piracy

Skill 5 Branch 3: Nearby Power monkeys will now give bananas to Wonkey over the Queen.

Skill 6 Branch 3(You may not select skill 7 if you choose this): Wonkey may now craft a wooden cutlass and battle oar. He deals 50% extra damage with the cutlass, and loses 25% less durability with the oar.

Battle Oar costs 8 logs, 2 Palmcone scale, accessable weapon from the Moon Quay. The cutlass costs 2 logs

Skill 7 Branch 3(You may not select skill 6 if you choose this): Wonkey can craft a Bandana and Tricorn, he gains 50% stronger effects from both.

Bandana cost 4 silk, Tricorn costs 8 Silk and 3 pinecones

Skill 8 Branch 4: Wonkey may paddle with their hands at a moderate speed at the cost of wetness. All Oars become 50% more effective.

Skill 9 (Unfinished)

Skill 10 (Unfinished)

Curse (You may only choose one skill, they Require 4 points invested to gain access)

Skill 11 Curse Denier: Wonkey may spend a banana to remove 5 Trinkets from their inventory. You may do this to other players aswell(This works using a right click function on you or other characters). The Moon Quay Queen will no longer remove trinkets from you, allowing you to access her normal loot.

Skill 12 Curse Accepter: Become an official Moon Quay Member. Wonkey grows stronger the more trinkets they have that is over 10, but loses half of those trinkets permantly when dying, while keeping a minimun of 10. You can't have more than 50 trinkets. (Tip, signal flares for Pirate raids)

Each trinket you have after 10 of them increases attack speed by 2%, Movement speed by 0.5% when walking on two legs (1% while sprintingnon four), Health by 3, Hunger by 2, and sainity by 1.

That is all i have so far. I planned to have 14 skills for Wonkey total, though i could not think for anything for the last two so far. There are skills you will want to pick if you just plan on raiding the Moon Quay as Wonkey and plan on turning back later, and some skills to pick if you want to try stay as Wonkey. If i have an idea for those two other skills i will add to it. Wonkey has no affinities. Feedback if you wish!

Wonkey isn’t it’s own character though, it’s still the character you started the world as who has turned into a Monkey, that’s why you still have the same clothes on as your character had when you become monkey, and it’s why your skill tree will be whoever your actually playing as and not monkey.

I think it would be far too complicated to add a skill tree to something that isn’t even a real selectable playable character.

When you spawn in without selecting any skills, it let's you click on the insight button.

Also, all character perks are removed and replaced with Wonkeys so he is like an extra character, i like the idea of him having a mini skill tree focused on being niche for dealing with the moon quay with a few extras.

The same as other, go to celestial portal, change to other characters, then join in with fresh cursed trinket that you just dropped.
Or undo curse and redo curse.

Yeah but you can't select wonkey in the character selection screen

Choose a character you have insight points with, spawn in without selecting any insight and you will see. It is pretty simple and i said it multiple times here, you just click the insight button on the top left.

But that’s the best part of a skill tree

Yeah but Wonkey is not an individual character with his own conscience. It would be weird for wormwood to have a shadow alignment using monkey. It makes no sense.

That would reset the insight for your original character wouldn't it? And not for wonkey

When you spawn in as Wonkey by turning into him, it will appear just the same as any other character spawning in.

I thought that it would be a fun thing to give Wonkey a skill tree and i do agree that he should have less choice overall since it's a curse.
Tho one thing you could do is that if he takes the "Curse Accepter" skill he receives an additional 6 points to put into his skill tree since he's embracing the curse?

I think of Wonkey as an entity of the curse

and side comment I know why they made wormwood a none shadow aligned character but wouldn’t it be cool if they explored  that
