deemo_
I haven’t been getting any errors and I played for a while yesterday. Is there something you are doing or something that is happening in your world to crash the game?
Mike23Ua
It should be fairly obvious, but the size of worlds built on Xbox/PS- & Extra especially the least powerful switch: Can not perform as well as PC. Without turning this into a TL:DR- Consoles get hella freaking laggy when you make a base too big, or if there’s a lot of on screen clutter (such as 1000 killer bees or Webber spiders) One of my worlds once kept repeatedly crashing cause I had about 200 of the Year of the Beefalo Dolls just laying around on the ground as decorations. You should try sending your save files to Klei via in game bug report, they’ll be able to play your save & should be able to pinpoint the exact root cause. Archswifter
Maybe at some point they'll be a Major Console Only QoL update or something that fixes or improves the overall experiences of players on that front. I'm more than sure the list of issues & suggestions is long enough for that to be a thing. Probably.

Yes dude, i play on Xbox and the input lag is infuriating to the point i do not want to play the game until they fix it ON SOLO WORLDS. Not Just that, i believe they have a secondary team only for console, but i don't know why, it seems that they don't exist at all, since Consoles (even the newer ones, Xbox SX|SS and PS5) don't even get the options to change world size or disable caves. On switch this is worse than you think. I just wish the devs talk about it one day, soon enough, cuz it seems they don't care for anyone that payed for DST on consoles. Sorry, but that's my opinion. You should try sending your save files to Klei This post has nothing to do with lag or performance. I sent my save file 2 weeks ago, hence 1 of the 3 images photoshopped into the pic being my save file. 10 hours ago, Zhollow said: i believe they have a secondary team only for console, but i don't know why, it seems that they don't exist at all I've seen different numbers over the years, from 30 to 100 employees. I don't know how many employees they have at Klei right now but even if we say 100 that still leaves everyone spread pretty thin considering the amount of games Klei has at the moment. I'm not sure whether games like Griftlands, Oxygen, and Hot Lava are still being actively developed, but Rotwood and Dread Pilots are certainly taking up quite a bit of Kleis focus atm. Heck even the original Don't Starve is being worked on (or was recently at least). Even if we say those employees are only working on DST and split evenly we are talking 25 for PC 25 for PS 25 for Xbox and 25 for Switch. That's not a big team, and I'd imagine out of the 100 ish employees some of those folks are clerical/not actually working on games. So let's cut them some slack. 10 hours ago, Zhollow said: don't even get the options to change world size Incorrect. 10 hours ago, Zhollow said: cuz it seems they don't care for anyone that payed for DST on consoles. Sorry, but that's my opinion. Also incorrect. I was going to leave my interaction in this thread at just posting the silly picture at the top, but as it's starting to head down the misinformation/pile on Klei road I felt like I needed to intervene. It was really just intended as a snarky reminder to the devs that I'm still having issues, here's the initial thread for anyone who's interested- Anyway, let's not start taking shots at Klei. In all reality the best thing for everyone would probably be for Klei to drop support of older consoles and focus on PS5, the Xbox equivalent and PC (it's crazy to me that they've got DST running on Switch). But they aren't doing that, they're continuing to support and add to the game for what is in reality boarderline obsolete hardware. I'd say they deserve some kudos for that.
