I know there is a mod out there (is it good, works pretty well?) but wondering when Klei will go 64bit and expand the world.   Adding some new biomes would be cool as well, the standard ones are getting pretty uneventful though I still like them.

Part of what keeps the game interesting for me is the exploration part, a feature that I like about ShipWrecked as it takes much longer to map the world.  I also feel that creating islands out of the biomes (while keeping one larger central part) will add to the experience.

I like the idea of a larger world just because the quality of a given world for certain characters depends so much on which optional biomes or set pieces generate.

Making the world bigger means the ocean would be bigger. Making the ocean bigger means more empty space filled with sea stacks.

No, we don't need bigger maps.

Procedurally generated and disposable small dungeon (raids, and similar challenges, a la The Forge and similar) worlds would be a nice late-game feature. Go inside a portal, endure a challenge or perish trying, and then return to the normal world.

That would work for single player Don't Starve but not for DST. Hosting 3 servers or more at the same time would be impossible for many players, unless they implement this feature similar to how Hamlet interiors: put those things at corners of worlds.

After watching the Xbox Game Showcase this morning and watching a full in depth preview of what Unreal Engine 5 can do with Procedurally Generated worlds- Not just for super super life like stuff like the demo showed but also for blocky or pencil graphics like Minecraft. I am convinced that Klei needs to just build a new DS Game using UE5.

I would LOVE to see that kind of power & procedural generation poured into my favorite game franchises (including DS!)
