Be2014 Posted April 21, 2023 Share Posted April 21, 2023 Please Klei make Wormwood immune to the Brightshades so he can be the super killer late game. Maybe, then more ppl would play Wormwood. Wormwood is so under used. Give him some power, he is not just a farmer and base babysitter. Now Wormwood can not even farm the Brights will spawn. No reason to farm after killing CC. Edit: Also wormwood's very good at fighting hordes as well as well as having cheaper access to higher tier crafts via his living log production. You're acting as though Wormwood has some sort of significant downside at that stage in the game compared to other characters, but if you can do the CC questline you can definitely make some form of BQ killing setup, which entirely negates the one combat downside wormwood actually has. Not to mention Bat bats also exist. That isn't to say that he shouldn't be immune to brightshades for thematic reasons, but I swear Wormwood players always frame the discussion as "oooh poor wormwood he's just a little boy he's not strong enough ". Just say you want it cause' it's cool and you like playing Wormwood, as far as I see it that's reason enough to make the change. Most people asking for Wormwood interactions with the Brightshades are doing it because plants are supposed to be his friend. Moreover, the essence of Wormwood is actually a gem from the moon. These newly arrived plants should come from the same place as Wormwood, so I have some confusion about their hostility to Wormwood. Plenty of reasons to play Wormwood even late game, but the point is, I agree that Brightshades should be neutral to Wormwood. maxwell_winters Posted April 21, 2023 Share Posted April 21, 2023 I don't see how Brightshades can be neutral to you mechanically. They only release their vines when they have aggro. If Wormwood needed to kill the plant, he would have to attack it directly, so that it releases its vines. It means taking 30 damage piercing through armor. This will make him the worst character to farm Brightshade husks. I feel like this goes a bit beyond that much like guard pigs attacking normal pigs this goes beyond being friendly to mobs of similar origin they're loyal to their faction/master whereas Wormwood is not so it makes sense that they would be hostile to him.
