Spider Nest Clearing Challenge

I am Putting out a challenge for people to partake into Rules are Dusk only world
No webber no wendy  no spiderhat
Clear out 30 spider nests using only a limited inventory of 1 backpack with no bundles
You have access to all recipes but can only craft based on whats in your backpack.
Survivors can only use items they can access. Ie only Warly can use spiced food
only woodworm can use bramble only winona can use catapults only wicker can use books.

Player must collect all Spidereggs for the run to be valid.

Lets come up with some unique ways to clear these nests!

The rest of 2 items are as you wish.
Eat mush cake so you cant sleep.
Eat mandrake so spider will go sleep.
Hambat + spice jelly to kill den faster.

If the character has starting items, must they also been in the backpack to be usable or are they allowed outside the backpack?

Is Wortox allowed to use his souls, since they can't be put into backpacks?

 

Also, as mentioned above, are we allowed to have ANY item in the backpack, or just materials?

So like, do we spawn these nests or does it have to be a legit world. Because it's gonna take time for all of them to grow and the world might not even have 30 nests.

My main problem with this challenge is most mid-tier pc and below players straight up can't even take on the challenge because of the  spiders from the 30 nests.

Oh well, gonna see what my pc can do.

Probably one of the more interesting methods would probably be Maxwell with a hambat, eye mask, a Codex, bone helm, bone armor, a stack of trail mix, stack of nightmare fuel, and an emergency pan flute. Using shadow sneaks, you can generally use them to slowly clear out the spiders without much hassle as a majority of them wouldn't be able to attack due to the shadow panic. While a Wolfgang or Wanda would probably be faster, Maxwell would certainly be more interesting.

Woodie with a stack of moose idols and a stack of jellybeans would probably work, if he doesn’t get stunlocked to death.

But yeah I think this too, the most uninteresting way to solve this fast would probably be Wolfgang With a lot of Marble, a hambat, stack of salted perogies, stack of ice cream , stack of garlic jellybeans and spicy volt goat jelly.

I'm curious as to the rules of the challenge, can you just spawn in crockpot dishes even if you can't "craft" them? I thought you could only keep crafting materials in your backpack to use, but if crockpot dishes can be made then spicy jelly with weremoose is 100% the way to go. You can one-shot all normal spiders in a charge, mostly mitigating the risk of stunlock.

The true answer seriously people forget how strong the bramble husk is at killing hordes. 

If you remove Webber and Wendy then wormwood comes out on top.

Cant use jelly as thats warly exclusive. Plus you would need to spend a slot for a way to get mighty unless you plan to just fight for mighty.

The thing is though there are multiple ways to do the challenge which is why im putting it out for discussion  now try doing it without killing anything

you can only use stuff your character can get. so if you want spicy or voltgoatjelly you have to play warly  there is no mixing of items.

Jellybean moose can work for sure yeah that is a thing you can get as a woodie. You can spawn in foods but only foods that the Character can get. And they count towards the inventory requirement.

Yep lol Mine was struggling too just making the short. So weaker pcs may not be able to handle it. Hence why at the end i put Don't Crash lol

Just tried and this is the way.
Husk + Thul crowns for the temporary stunlock protection, spicy volt jelly, hambat and garlic jellybeans. Took a little less than a day, I'm sure they can do faster.

EDIT: Welp seems that Warly's recipes are not allowed. Im sure it can be made without anyway, I'd probably replace the spicy volt jelly slot for any healing WormWood can use.

Is celestial portal shenanigans off the table? You spawn in the spicy jelly, 20 something moon rocks, purple gems, and portal paraphernalia, and any other items of choice, then switch to your character of choice.

it kind of ruins the whole aspect of using what you got. with that characters strengths.

yeah did a stream of it and the wormwood setup is actually pretty useful and having compost for bloom saved me alot. the mentality for wormwood is just go in  since its doing lots of damage anyway with the bramble going off and stunning small spiders it lowers the ammount of damage and you are less likely to get stunlocked.

That sounds very risky of burning it all.
In any case, how will you deal with the (hundreds of) spiders that come out of those nests and would like to have a word or two with you?

If that sound too risky just use 4 gunpowder per 4 nest and wait, I was planing to ignore and deagroo spiders since spider dens is what counts to succed in this challenge.

This is how I deal with spider nests in late game if I don't want to bother kitting.

Here's my run at the challenge

I didn't fully understand the crafting rules so I only used base materials. I also filled in my inventory with junk so that only my backpack could be used.

I apologize for the framerate, recording with 30 spider dens will do that to ya.

Strat remain the same, eat mush cake, then eat mandrake so all spider go sleep. As dusk only world, they will never wake up (mandrake op af).
then Ctr + f all the den. There are no fight involved, as you only attack den while all spiders sleep.
Now the question is who will deal best dps vs spider dens, wolf with dark sword, wanda, or warly + his food?

Or are we in the game where you start banning stuff people come up with? I dont see any "you cant use other character craft items" in your original post.

is an item. It can fit in 

Other example is Willow and trusty tape. She can carry a stack of trusty tape to fix her bernie, work much better than sewing kit (5 uses) or it's ingridients (require 3 slots).

And its about building up strategies with certain characters other than just taking everything from multiples to solve it.  you will see some fun ideas I can guaranteed

I added that rule I thought it was kind of obvious with character bans and the spider hat ban but i guess not.
so yes can only use what the character offers.

Both mandrake and mushy cake stack up to 40. You want to clear 40 spider eggs. Coincident? i think not.
