UltraShadow01 Posted February 28, 2023 Share Posted February 28, 2023 Wilson: Wilson has a new skill tree composed of 25 individual skills while playing the game the player gains skill points over in game days up to 15 total points these skills points and the currently persist between save files and servers you can reclaim all the points instantly from the character selection screen update - earning skill points: every day the player gains 1 experience point (not to be confused with the skill points for claiming skills) when the player experience reaches a set tally it will give the player a skill points the player will keep the experience points they have earned up to that point and the tally for getting a new skill point will increase by values assigned by klei following this pattern (measured in days): 5, 8, 8, 8, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 12, 12, 12, 15, 15, 15 we get the number of days to gain the next point such that: after 5 days the first point after 8 more days the second points after 8 more days the third points 8 more days to 4 points 10 more days to 5 points and so on and so forth all in all it will take 160 in game day to earn the full 15 skill points available to the player experience points persist between servers. such that you can continue earning the next skill points on different servers like you might do weekly skin gifts the player can then expand these skill points on the skills in 1 of 4 skill trees following linear and non linear tree structures torch: with 2 linear paths and 1 special option path 1: torch duration while used by Wilson or thrown by Wilson path 1 progression: at level 1 - consumes 84% of fuel at level 2 - consumes 68% of fuel at level 3 - consumes 50% of fuel path 2: light radius for the torch while used by Wilson or thrown by Wilson path 2 progression: at level 1 - light radius is 2 tiles at level 2 - light radius is 3 tiles at level 3 - light radius is 4 tiles after unlocking 3 torch skills the special option is unlocked after getting the special torch skill Wilson can throw torches and the skill benefits Wilson has will sustain beard: with 2 linear paths and 1 special option path 1: beard growth time, higher skill will grow the beard faster path 1 progression: at level 1 - beard grows 95% of its normal time at level 2 - beard grows 70% of its normal time at level 3 - beard grows 55% of its normal time path 2: beard insulation to cold, higher skill will have more insulation path 2 progression: at level 1 - beard offers 120% of isolation at level 2 - beard offers 140% of isolation at level 3 - beard offers 170% of isolation beard hair gained for shaving every stage: stage 1 - 1 stage 2 - 2 stage 3 - 6 update - insulation mechanics: the function for calculating Wilson insulation from the beard is as follows self.bits * TUNING.INSULATION_PER_BEARD_BIT * self.insulation_factor * skill_mod where self.bits is the beard stage from 0 to 3; insulation per bit is defined as 15; insulation factor is set to 1; and skill mod can be found above for path 2 note - the beard insulation skill level does not stack the highest skill will take priority for this calculation. these values are not added or multiplied skill modifier 1 1.2 1.4 1.7 beard stage 0 0 0 0 0 1 15 18 21 25.5 2 45 54 63 76.5 3 135 162 189 229.5 after unlocking 3 beard skills the special option is unlocked the special options offers Wilson a beard sack storage with slots equal to the stage of the beards i.e. first stage = 1 slot, second stage = 2 slots, third stage = 3 slots these slots can hold any edible food from the following categories: MEAT, VEGGIE, INSECT, SEEDS, GENERIC, GOODIES alchemy: with 1 main option and 3 linear paths following Main option - 3 twigs to 1 log, 1 log to 2 twigs path 1 gems: A - 2 red gems to 1 blue gem, 2 blue gems to 1 red gem, 1 blue gem 1 red gem to 1 purple gem B - 3 purple gems to 1 orange gem, 3 orange gems to 1 yellow gem C - 3 yellow gems to 1 green gem, 1 of each other of the 6 gems for 1 opal gem path 2 ores: A - 3 rocks to 1 flint, 2 flint to 1 rock B - 3 nitre to 1 gold nugget, 2 gold nuggets to 1 nitre C - 2 cut stone to marbel, 2 marbel to 1 moon rock, 1 marble to 1 cut stone - new way of obtaining flint in couple with stone fruit bushes - it would take 12 rocks to make 1 moon rock given the level 3 ore skill path 3 icky: A - 3 morsels to 1 meat, 1 meat to 2 morsels B - 2 beefalo wool to 1 beard hair, 2 beard hair to 3 beefalo wool C - 6 rot to manure, 2 hounds teeth to 1 bone shard, 2 bone shards to 1 hound tooth nightmare transmutation: requires 12 skill points spent on other skills and for the player to have previously defeated fuel weaver as an active fighter once they player has satisfied both lock requirements they will be able to unlock the shadow transmutation skill which allows the player to make the new dreadstone from 3 pure horror or 2 pure horror from 1 dreadstone you can make 2 nightmare fuel from 1 pure horror lastly wilson will take 90% of damage from "shadow_aligned" creatures which include: shadow parasite, big shadow tentacle (AG), shadow tentacle, crawling horror and terror beaks (as well as their ruins variant), terror claw, unseen hand (though they cannot attack), FW (and out of atrium variants) and wilson will deal 110% damage from all "lunar_aligned" creatures which include: all 3 phases of celestial champion, gastalts (and their guard variant), crabking claw, crabking, carrat, mutated moon storm birds, grotto mush gnome, molebat, moon pengull, moon hound, wobsters (for when you take your anger out on wobsters ig lol), lunar spiders, salamander Daywalker: the daywalker aka nightmare werepig is a new boss mob that has 5 spawn points in the caves it will select one of these spawners randomly after mining the pillars with a PICK/AXE specifically from the ruins you can mine the 3 pillars around him before hit them in quick succession to resonate with the pillars freeing him following that the player will have to go insane to kill the nightmare parasites that are hunting him once you do he will turn to attack you daywalker has 10,000 hitpoints with 2 phases in the first phase he has a charge attack. to avoid him you must run to the side when he begins his run and after a 3 runs (if successfully dodged otherwise reset) he will fatigue giving you a window to hit him around 10 hits at 50% HP in the second phase he will get an additional slam attack creating small very temporary sink holes after the telegraph run from him in any direction away from him additionally during this phase you can use the slam attack to destroy his pillars which will disappear regardless after the fight netting you 3 dreadstone drops for each pillar after defeating him you will get 2 blueprints for the dreadstone hat and suit and 4 pure horrors the dreadstone suit has durability of 840 HP and the damage absorption modifier of night armor at 90% and the dreadstone hat with the same durability as thulecite crown at 840 durability as well as the same damage absorption at 90% but with the down side that the dreadstone hat does not offer a shield like the thulecite crown both the dreadstone suit and hat reduce the base damage taken from "shadow_aligned" creatures to 90% when the armor takes damage it will regain durability in a rate set by your sanity percentage this is not tied to insanity but it is tied to sanity mode, in other words it will not work while in sanity is turned to lunacy the regeneration rate for both pieces of armor will get increased by 50% (to 150% of base regeneration rate) when both you wear both pieces of the set (suit and hat) using the transmutation skill from wilson you cannot duplicated the dreadstone / pure horror but using the hat or suit along with green amulet + staff you can get a 200% profit for every 0.4 green gems used daywalker will respawn with his pillars at one of the other spawners randomly after 20 days from his defeat updates: 545481: removed the ability to reclaim skill points from the wardrobe - You have to break the pillars so that the purple colors reveal themselves to start the fight. Once you start the fight though, it doesn't seem like any character can break the pillars (make it into rubble; I tested using mighty Wolf with pick/axe and honey spice and gunpowder). You can, however, lure the Daybreaker to break the pillars (which is ) with its smash attack (the attack for the second phase where it leaves cracks on the ground). If you break the pillars this way, you are given 3 dreadstones per pillar broken.
