Sea Stacks

Recommended Posts

I can't think of anything more annoying for those who love seafaring.    If you want to travel relatively quickly (3 regular sails) it's a constant cycle between abrupt anchoring, redirecting, etc.    Much prefer traveling by sea in Shipwrecked.

My resolution?   Haven't finalized yet between just ramming with multiple patches, using the weather pain weapon to destroy or slowly ice picking them away.

This is where the trident is usefull, its right click ability is able to clear sea stacks pretty quickly. Making it very useful for maintaining speed while clearing them as you go.

And before the recent update, I would have told you that maxwell with some shadow miners is another good way. But now that they are locked to an area and not following maxwell, that option isnt as good anymore

I heard that if you spawn servants on a boat, their work radius will be attached to the boat and move with it. Don't know if true, but seems plausible.

I personally havent tried it, but hey if it does work like that, then that would be great

They're only a problem when you get away from the shore, and I don't find it too tedious to clear a few paths I can then take at full speed.  I really like Maxwell for it as his miners can make quick work of the stacks, you can usually travel 1 sail at least without even stopping or caring.

Ha. Everyone says how annoying they are when traveling, and here's me, who disappointed that they can't be crafted. I can't move the sea weeds where I like, as these stacks are never near my base. It's just a big rock, Klei! Let me throw a big rock into the water!

Also, didn't they add "armor" to the boats that soften the hits? Can't they be used to ram and reduce the cost of boat patches?

THIS!!! I've wanted to make a good sea weeed farm for such a long time. Besides, there's so many food sources in the game nowadays that I don't think it would be busted to have em near your base.
Also chiseling the sea stacks into statues, I saw that suggestion in another thread, it would really make rivers look better if we were able to sprinkle a few sea stacks and statues on them.

They should put a new resource on them like idk. .limestone!??

Nah i think they need to make up a new mineral uh like sea stone... Or a water type nitre that if you use to make a fire pit you start getting soaked in water. Yeah idk these random rocks in the middle of the water are just so boring and never where you want them at
