Question about Docks

So now that we have docks and can connect them to the Lunar Island, how do docks affect spawning of land based events? (Deerclops, Bearger, Hounds) If the player stands on a dock are they counted as standing on a boat? If not what happens if a player travels from the dock to the Lunar Island? How are Giant spawns affected?

I haven't tried making a dock to the lunar island but as far as i know, you can only build docks 3 tiles long (unless im using the dock piles incorrectly)

i dont think there is a limit to build docks but the deepness of the water. Aslong as is shallow water you can build as much as you want

If they're counted as normal land then I'd assume it would act as mainland until you get close enough for the lunacy effect to trigger. Think that's how it works when the island generated connected to the mainland.

you can as long as there is only shallow water in between, I just did it in one of my worlds. It's not 3 tiles long, it depends on each shore and where the deep water starts. Lunacy starts when reaching lunar island ofc, but I'm not sure how giant spawns work on docks.

Pengulls spawn, but their icebergs are placed on actual land, about deerclops that's up to someone to test (Hi Hornete!)
