bigGMIW
I feel as though every gem craft besides the lazy forager are all pretty well used even the blue gem amulet can be used well during summer by only putting it on to cool yourself back down. While the lazy explorer is pretty much only used to get those materials that are stuck in ditches. I propose that it be changed to a farming friendly item fueled by nightmare fuel. I would want it to pick anything nearby so it can be used to quickly fuel up from your grass and twig farms. I'd say it should be fueled by +15% per nightmare fuel and each thing picked be -1% per item. So its not a fully free lunch but it'd be much more versatile. SonicDen220
Even if Klei isn't gonna make it refuelable, at least increase the durability. 225 items picked up is nothing. I suggest a 1000 uses. Then I'd start comfortably using them for log gathering after using a bearger to annihilate a forest. With only 225 uses it's just not worth it (it's only 11 stacks of logs without counting pine cones). I'd need to make so many amulets that it will not even offset the time to pick them up manually and that's not even accounting for all the thulecite and orange gems. reallychina
Im gonna go ahead and say durability is fine. Its a luxury item you need in rare situations for gathering massive amounts of mats. What should be buffed is the rate it picks up things. It should sweep and fill up inventory instantly. Maybe a slight initial delay to save you from equipping it at a wrong time and place. I think someone made a timed comparison a while ago and a full amulet saves you like a minute or two, which is laughable Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/140405-lazy-forager-tweak-concepts/#findComment-1572343 Share on other sites
EighteenXVIII
I thought about this the other day. I had already made a bunch since I don't use a lot of lazy explorers. If anything I misclick the lazy explorer more than I actually use the teleport Then I had to clear out an entire forest biome to expand my base, including all the turf. I went through five lazy foragers. Honestly? Kinda worth it. I spent 10 thulecite and some orange gems that I wasn't using for a very tedious job that I won't have to do again for a long time. The problem is if the lazy forager becomes refuelable you only ever need to craft the one and it becomes like the Magiluminescence. Personally I think it's fine as it is now. It pays for itself if you use it to collect the cave hole treasures. With 225 uses you can get far more thulecite and gems out of the lazy forager than you have to put towards crafting it. It also has some use with salt formations since sailing around them to collect the crystals is a pain, and the forager helps quite a bit. Cheggf
If anything should change it should either be its max durability or the ability to refill it to 100% with an orange gem. Nmf already does a ton while orange gems pile up and refueling it with nmf would just make it and magi less unique. It's already very useful for grabbing logs, salt, ocean things, etc. It just breaks a bit quickly.
